I've been living in the same apt. for almost 20 yrs. In '14 I went to Myanmar to cancel my NON-B, returned and then changed to a NON-O to retire.
When I went to imm. for my first extension, (Ratchaburi) I brought a TM30 from my landlord. The IO stapled the receipt into my passport (I thought I should give it to my landlord). When I asked about it, she said, if I don't move or leave the country, I could use it next year. So its been in there 5 years. No request for an update.
So my questions are these... Anyone else have this happen? and if you don't move or leave the country, is the one receipt still good?

Just a point of information... You can renew by mail. They say it takes 3 weeks and you get your old (cancelled) one back with the new one and the letter for Thai Imm. as well.
There are a few stipulations and hoops to jump through including bank drafts for payment but otherwise, it might save people in far off provinces some wear and tear.

Yeah guys they are pretty strict. But I think there is a misunderstanding/wrinkle with the info on the website and what actually goes on. I was there last month and people were checking small to medium bags and purses at the entry desk. They don't have a lot of space back there so I think they are trying to stress the point (pack light) to those who are making appointments.
"Applicants can only carry in clear bags containing papers needed for their appointment"... That means into the embassy proper.

Is it just me or do others have a problem w/ the search function?
I know I have seen these lists on here a dozen times but now when I need it... poof!
I have even searched in udon joe's posts to no avail.
The imm. website that is supposed to have required document lists is not working for me.
one more time....
what is the standard list of docs for the retirement extension?
thanks to all

Good.

Hello TV members.
Has anyone applied for permission to stay (retirement) at the Nakon Prathom office lately?
Any problems or concerns?
How about online 90 day report success?
Thanks for all replies.

Yeah, 7000 posts since 2011 and he's minding his own bizness!
The OP's definition of "Minding your own business" seems to be "Running like a coward from everything" or "Ignoring all social responsibility".
Let's all build a wall around ourselves and completely ignore the plaints and troubles of our fellow human beings, because we just can't be bothered.
Must be a Christian

You need a better analogy. If you witness a crime it sorta becomes your business, doesn't it?
Doesn't "mind your own business" mean stuff like passing on gossip or trash talk? Or giving your own opinion on others behaviour loudly?

I think he wants to know if he can do an "in and out" border run and get 30 more days without a visa from Myanmar.

Any recommendations? Scotia Bank no longer offers French language service since their merger.

Certainly not a wealthy man, far from it!
Only problem is Donald Trump said the exact same thing about a week ago.
None o' them rich bastids will say they are rich. "I'm rich compared to what?"
The GDP of four or five 3rd world countries all added together? 27 cars and private jet? A&P yachts?
I lent "the Donald" US$20 back in the 90s (he claimed he was bankrupt due to divorce) and he still hasn't paid me back which makes him very poor indeed in my book.
It's true.

The Thai way of corruption works for those with money at the advantage of those who don't.
And how is this different from the rest of the God d***ned world?
You show me ANY COUNTRY and I will show you corruption.
You are blind if you don't see it. money=corruption=everywhere on the planet

Who knows what the victims were doing at the time of the attack? Sleeping? Sex? Two other people with blunt objects could have killed them silently.
I'm saying it was a crime of opportunity perpetrated by total strangers with the high probability that the bodies were disturbed and abused by additional passers-by minutes after the initial attackers fled the scene.

Increase the fares and give the driver an even break and all the above problems will fade away.

Taxi fares should be doubled immediately. The lo-speed fare should be tripled.
Taxis in BKK are stupid cheap. There are notorious hour-long tie ups in certain areas.
You want a private car? Pay for a private car. And don't forget to tip, tightwad.

And don't forget... for key-pad safes with lit displays etc., when the battery goes dead, all the master codes in the world ain't gonna help you. They have to have a physical key to pull the bolt back or drop a pin so the bolt can be pulled back by a lever. Otherwise electronic keypad safes would be useless.

The article is in the paper that doesn't allow links.
The BIB say they are all tied up with office work and need some conscripts to free up officers for other duties.

So the rules about having at least 6 months left on your passport are different for permission to stay?
When you bring in your new PP do you get the balance of the year?
