  1. PLEASE

Do not go to immigration. Get a ticket to leave the country and go straight to the airport.

When you leave via the airport, they have one objective - get you on the plane. They will process your overstay, and happily take your money. That is what they do.

When you go to immigration, you are dealing with an immigration officer and a department whose sole purpose is to manage the immigration process and laws. They are much more inclined to process you according to the law and their whim. As such, you are much more likely to go to jail! I am not saying that is what will happen. I am saying the odds are an order of magnitude higher that it can happen.

I had a friend who overstayed by 10 days. He went to immigration and they tossed him into jail for 4 days until they escorted him to the airport for departure.

Another friend overstayed by 23 days, went straight to the airport with a ticket in hand. He paid a steep fine and had no issues at all.

Finally, you absolutely do not want to hang out here and hope you are not caught. That is the worst possible scenario. Either take your chances at immigration, or get on a plane.

Follow the law end go to I - M, end pay for 1 week end have a nice trip

  3. Would be a very foolish thing to do. What recourse would you have if the owner decides to sell and you are evicted. That money will not be "held" in trust.........

If you whant rent in Thailand, maximum kontrakt is 3 year.

Check owner biu book end id card so this is same name.

Dont pay deposit for more then 2 month.

  6. The car is a 2006 Mercedes 180 Kompressor. Thai assembled not grey market. Done about 80,000ks goes into the Merc mechanic about every 6 months with fuel system problems and comes back with a bag full of replaced parts.

I don't think the mechanic is the issue because it used to go to an authorized Benz dealer for servicing but they were hopeless so now we use a regular Benz mechanic (far cheaper and better service).

You most use onley bensin 95 for this energi ( Yellow) not in all station

  7. <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

It seems they have taken the same position that Nong Kai immigration has taken that your money must be transferred to a Thai bank.
The best bank for you would be Bangkok Bank because you can have ACH transfers done to your account via their New York branch. If you are getting social security you can have your payments direct deposited to your account also.
    Info here: http://www.bangkokbank.com/BangkokBank/PersonalBanking/DailyBanking/TransferingFunds/TransferringIntoThailand/ReceivingFundsfromUSA/Pages/ReceivingFundsfromUSA.aspx
If you are married to a Thai you could get a 60 day extension to visit her that would give your more time to get things sorted out. You could also go to Savannakhet and get a single entry non-o visa.

You most onley show a paper from your ambassy, minimum 800.000Tbh incom/year.
Meby you live in wrong aria, som of the I _ M är stupid Si Racha in Chon Buri to

  8. Check some of the hotels on 2nd road, south part on the right when riding there close to walking street there are a few small sois with hotels there.

I have sometimes parked there but a small fee can be expected.

You are a brave man riding your bike at that time, why not go early, book a hotel room & watch the fire works, have some beers, sleep it off and then ride home after a late breakfast?

Try too find a chip hotel in Soi Bakhau, dont drive your bike this night. 90 % of all driver are drunk, take care you self end hawe a nice time, next year too.

  9. Hi there,

I recently overstayed by 1 day, I went to the local immigration office prior to the overstay and explained I wanted to stay the extra day, I was informed not to worry about 1 day. On arrival at the airport immigration pulled me into the office, charged me 500 THB and stamped my passport!! I now worry this may cause me problems returning or obtaining Visa's in the future....this was my first violation....any thoughts or advice is very welcome :-)

You don't mention which airport that was. Normally you do not pay a fine for an overstay of less than 24 hours at an airport.

Your overstay will have no effect on getting a visa or on entry to the country.

There have been people with much longer overstays (years) that have left the country, turned around and reentered the country or applied for visas without a problem.

Good advice. I overstayed before and no issue re entering.

Before is not now, new lawe fron 2013 for owerstay, dont forget it.

  10. Are you certain it was not designed to look this way?

It sounds exactly like every other project in Thailand--it might very well be by design.
