I agree fully with DigitalBananas cooments on Thai Instructors being more in the background.

That is why they are more than Happy when i do these trial days.

Anyone that i feel is in need of tuition i introduce them to the English speaking Instructors at the range.

It is a win- win situation for everyone,they pick up business they would not have got.

Just a note about this weekend i will be at the range from 14.00-17.00 Maximum time per person 15-20 mins.

Just buy a tray of range balls and bring them along with you to my bay.

I have read with interest a few posts with people asking where they can have video analysis.

This is something that i introduced over a year ago at Ekamai driving range TEE OFF.

Due to a bad injury i quit playing,however my former students said that they paid for the analysis not to watch me hit balls.

Well im now back and well rested and hitting balls again

I have now started offering analysis again at TEE OFF.

HOW DOES IT WORK

We take a look at you hitting a few balls to determine any glaring faults,then we video your swing.

This is fed into the software built into the laptop.

We then take a look at your swing and using the software look at the problem areas.

The software has drills and fault finding built into it.

We can also split the screen and put a PROS swing at the side of yours.

Then back to work.

We can also use various tools built into the software to draw on the screen to highlight areas.

WHY DOES THIS WORK SO WELL.

No doubt like me over the years you have had many lessons.

An instuctor can tell you till he is blue in the face what you are doing wrong.

Once you see it then it becomes very clear.

I will be at TEE OFF all this wekend from 14.00.

So now add to that a Thai school having to apply for this and it becomes almost a non starter.

Then add the time it will take them if they do agree to do it.

I had to go back to the UK to get my paperwork in order.

I strongly recommend those who are going for quality service at an unresistable price tag to pay them a visit. Chetta Lifestyle Salon, 155/108 Udom Suk 47 (Suhkumhvit Road 103), Bangkok just 10m from main road.

After tipping her a 200 bahts I still have a saving of more than 1/2 compare to what I would have normally paid for in Siam Center. Despite of this attractive price tag, they are not compromising on their product quality. I've not heard of Alfaparf but I'm convice now and I can endosre on the quality.

price definitely is impt but not no. 1 consideration 4 me. i m willing 2 pay above avg $ if they can deliver quality. experienced b4 wif a salon in mbk 2nd fl that turned my natural hair became 'wig'. i was so furious but they claimed tat they were charging me low '****' in short they were telling me tat i asked for it cos i paid them low!!!!!!

Is there any software suck as WinTV that will allow me to watch UK tv o the net without having satellite.

There is a new product available this year in the UK called the Slingbox which enables you to watch UK programmes anywhere in the world.

The only drawback is you have to set up via someones Sky network in the UK and their Broadband connection.You just load the operating software on your PC.

However their is no cost to them and you can as far as i understand watch seperate channels.

Just Type in SLINGBOX UK into any search engine to get more info.

Hope this helps as i am going back to UK next week for a while and will investigate this further.

Maybe Ekamai is closer to you and they have an excellent Thai instructor there called OHM who speaks very good English.

I have seen him teching children on numerous occasions and he seems very patient and understanding.

Try and watch the ladies tour on TV when you can as they make it look so easy.

Royal Dusit Golf Course

This is in the center of Bangkok on the way to the Kings Palace.

Great little escape to get away from the madness of central BKK.

The course is waterlogged at the moment so give it a swerve for a month.

However the driving range is floodlit and it has a chipping area and a very good putting green.

The course is also floodlit over 9 holes so you can play till around 10.30.

Cost is 350bht midweek and 500 at weekend plus caddy tip which is 200 on average.

This course is tight with water in play on nearly every hole with small greens.

Will put your short game to the test.

Worth a visit when it drys out.

I will shortly be going to Penang for my first time to obtain a Multy Entry O Visa on the grounds of marriage. Can anyone please advise me of any reasonably priced hotels near the consulate. I have heard of the Swiss Hotel but do not know exactly where it is.

I have also been informed that there is a bloke called Mr Manaff who will do all the admin for the visa. Has anyone used him before and what is his fee?

Appreciate any advise.

Sorry i forgot to add if the swiss hotel is the one i think it his you seem to get hookers plying their trade outside at night.i would avoid it.

Also the visa was 500R which means Mr Manaffs fee was 50R for his work well worth it.

I have just returned frm Penang and found the whole process very easy providing you take all the relevant paperwork.

I used Mr Manff who was very good and efficient.I told him the visa i required in advance and he told me what i would need.The visa for a 12 month non o was 550 including his fee.

I stayed at Th Ho Ping Hotel which was 58 ringgits a night for a comfortable room with TV and Air con.

Make sure you get a street facing room as you will get the wailing over the loudspeakers at various times of the day.
