Marble Bar, known as Australia’s hottest town, is indeed bracing for extreme temperatures. The forecast suggests that the temperature could reach 49°C this weekend1This is close to the Australian temperature record for December, which is 49.9°C, set at Nullarbor in South Australia on the same date in 20191The highest temperature ever recorded in Australia was 50.7°C at Oodnadatta Airport in South Australia, in January 19601. So, while Marble Bar may not break the all-time Australian record this weekend, it’s certainly approaching it. Stay cool and hydrated if you’re in the area!

    50 degrees.

  2. A lot of posts here blaming the victim.  The Thais are the ones conducting affairs that are In no way Ethical. There should be a recourse through the Police from these bar tramp scammers, but the police do nothing and this often results in frustration and anger.  It's actually lucky it was a foreigner (only a few items knocked over) because if it was a Thai scammed the result would likely end in gun violence and bloodshed which we have all become accustomed to.  Time the police step up and start investigating this fraud. Otherwise this will continue with ever increasing and dire consequences

8 years ago I had 160,000 bahts worth of work done (porcelain crowns +one implant) at Dr Warins Clinic as far as I am concerned he is the best in Pattaya for good honest value for money dental work....only problem some may find is he is very busy and sometimes a 2/3 week wait is needed for an appointment....well know and respected among expats and locals here in Pattaya

Far out that's more expensive than I was quoted in Australia.  It seems way over the top considering the minimum wage in Thailand. How many crowns?

  4. Oh dear! I fear too many issues may parallel my experience upon return.  Suspect my ute (pickup)  gone and God knows what else I will find upon return. I intend to make an unannounced visit also where I expect to find a forced safe and anything that can be Sold has been sold. I will follow this story with interest as I want to see what will happen with the missing vehicles. Will there be justice for theft? These are serious criminal acts that must be addressed.

I'm surprised the Land Office would register a loan from a foreign national on a Chanote. When we bought some land in Prachuab, I had to sign a formal doc at the land office specifically stating that I was not the source of funds for the purchase. Title is of course in wife's name. Different land offices may do things differently of course, but in general they are very sensitive to back-door ownership of land by foreigners (which is what would be the case if you have a lien on the property in your name).

Actually they suggested it.  My original goal was to register usrfruct.  They weren't keen on that.

Might also be the timing.  If you were married before the purchase.
