I just realized that the Grab app has Card storage facilities and I can pay using that.

I don't mean a cab here or there but am referring to the majority of cabs under one company brand. 
What about Grab Taxis?

The OP here. The 30 day extension was for a 30 day Visa-on-arrival. It was the 'K' counters.

So I take it that the Choam / Sangam immigration into Thailand is more friendly than the Poipet / Aranya... crossing? I have read many bad reports regarding the latter crossing.

Also, are you saying that one doesn't have to stay overnight to get back into Cambodia? What what I've read I thought 1 night minimum stay was pretty much standard all over South East Asia? (In the context of returning to the country one has just left.)

So I came from Thailand to Siem Reap for a few days and I really like it and been here for almost 2 months and it's time to go.

I could fly to BKK stay a few days and come back but there might be a better way? As in cheaper ????

I've a done a bit of a search around and all I see is questions about visa runs TO Siem Reap.

Anyway any help is appreciated.

On Sep 8th. 2019 I purchased online a return flight on BKK Airways to Cambodia using my Visa Debit Card.

My TV runs out on 15th. (tomorrow) not 14th. (today).

I had planned to go to to immig. on 14th. but discovered over the weekend that it is a public holiday.

So if I do not get an extension what happens?

Do I have to leave on 15th or is there a grace period?

I am hoping someone will reply that has actual personal experience.

My insurance policy states "...we reserve the right to repatriate...". It does not say "...we will always repatriate..." and that is a big difference.

"...we reserve the right to repatriate..." means someone needs to make a decision and that person needs to see the big picture as to how it will affect the policyholder and how it will affect the insurance company.

This means there is much room for negotiation and it is certainly not a clear cut outcome regardless of how the insurance company would have you believe.

Does anyone have personal experience in this matter?

I can get urgent surgery done in Thailand within 1 week but the insurance company wants to repatriate me to Australia and then of course I would be put onto a public hospital waiting list for many months.

Has anybody had experience with a similar situation?

Since mid-Dec 2017 we have stayed about 5.5 months and want to come back for a 30 day visit on Oct 9th. 2018.

It has just occurred to me that there may be a 'total # of days' per 'whatever time period' limit.

Arrived mid-Dec 2017 and departed 1 Mar 2018. (2.5 mths)
Arrived end May 2018 and departed 23 Aug 2018. (3 mths)

I just came back from Samititvej Sukhumvit Hospital and yes they will take of everything.

The charge though is THB1600 for their part (non-inclusive of the THB1900 for immigration) as was quoted to me today.

EDIT: I just went to https://www.samitivejhospitals.com/patients-outside-thailand/your-stay/extending-your-trip/ and yes indeed the charge on the page is THB500. Maybe page is out of date - highly likely - or there was a miscommunication.

Hello

We have previously extended the 60 day METV for an additional 30 days a few times so know what to do in a normal situation.
(To be clear: the prior extensions I refer to were done over a few years and NOT this trip.)

OK so my wife was taken to hospital last Wed Jul 12 and she will be in no condition to visit the immigration center next week to extend - that's if she gets discharged which is no certainty.

There must be a provision for medical emergencies?

I am currently outside Thailand.

I have an METV (6 mths) that expires on May 22.

I have been in Thailand using the METV from Dec 13 to Mar 1 (I got a 30 day extension after the 60 days expired).

I want to go back to Thailand on June 13 for 30 days.

Will I be able to get a Visa-on-arrival?

I am asking as they may have some sort of rule like "you have already been here for x days or y times within 1 year so you cannot etc etc"

Thanks - that's what I thought.

I have extended my '60 day max.' rule in the past (1 year ago) at the immigration bureau.

Can this be done online nowadays?

So I started to fill out the TM7 pdf (which by BTW is not able to be found today, y'day was OK, when clicked on from http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/base.php?page=download ) and am totally confused by the following on page 2 after 'Address in Thailand'.

Can anyone shed some light on this please.

Sorry to ask but the Thai Immigration website is a ... and there are too many complicated threads here about METV nuances.

I have an METV till 11 Feb.

I am in BKK.

Do I simply go to the immigration ofice in Sathorn/Silom area, fill out a form, pay, and thank you very much?

Or do I need to bring along whatever, wait for ??? days....

Any advice welcome.

REPORTING BACK on getting my 6 Month Multiple Entry Visa in SYDNEY.

1. Experience was 100% great. Dropped off docs Mon morning and picked up Wed arvo. No queues.
2. Sydney does not require proof of 1st. and 2nd. flights in/out Thailand. Canberra does. See FORM A on both sites.
3. Working in Thailand.
   Background: The definition of 'work' in Thai law is very broad and includes sitting in front of your computer in Thailand and doing work on your work's server that is located in wherever while you are employed by a non-Thai company. No doubt this law was bought in before such technology. (search Thaivisa.com for many posts)
   Possible good news: Near the bottom of my visa under Remarks it says "Employment Prohibited".
   I take this to mean that as long as I am not employed by a Thai company then I can work as per Background above.
   Sure if they want to get nasty...but that will not ever happen unless one is doing something seriously stupid and/or illegal.

I was hoping either Sydney or Canberra or elsewhere would be quicker due to accom. costs considerations.

I know the website says 3 days min. but really, it's such a cover-our-butts-generalization, and does not take into account seasonal variations that it is useless. So I'm hoping for some hands on experience.

("gee boss" says a staff member, "we get $225 for a 6 monther and also non-imm B, so let's get some temp staff to pump thru more business". "no no" says boss "I have a headache and besides what's in it for us, wink wink nudge nudge!". "ah I see" says staff member.)

Because of time constraints I need to personnaly fly interstate to either ACT or NSW to get my 6 month METV and not risk the 4-5 week turnaround time that is hightlighted in their websites.

So which one is currently issuing personnaly presented applications the quickest?

Any recent experience appreciated.

(I fly out 14 Dec 2015 and their website/s say 4-5 weeks for mailed apps. in bold and yellow background)
