My 90 days is up, can I do a visa run to Mae Sai? or better for me can I extend for another 90 days at chiang mai immigration? I heard border runs were out at Mae Sai and I'm pretty sure I extended my visa for 90 days at immigration before for B1900.

How do you know he couldn't control a big bike? It says the bike slid in a corner, he could have hit a patch of diesel, oil or dirt which could send any rider down the road.

Tell us what bike it is. Sounds like you are losing spark sometimes. When you lose it the air/fuel keeps feeding the engine then you get a spark again it backfires. I would check all your electrical connections, especially the kick stand cut out. Sometimes they cut in and out which would cause your problems. Some bikes have a neutral switch (bike can run on the side stand but cuts out when you put it in gear). Also, try a new spark plug if it's old and check the kill switch.

Why not just arrange a video conference? She goes to the embassy, has representation and the Thais have big joke and translators. Simple. But that would mean no British holiday for them though.

Just go stay in Vietnam with her? Is it so bad for you two there? You're obviously looking for work, you can set your girl up with a business there.

I don't go to Thapae Gate either but its a common example of the middle of the city or maybe the three kings monument. The parking at the current airport and over crowding at busy times are things that can be improved by building a bigger terminal, multi story carpark etc. There is a lot of underused land around the airport used by various government agencies that could be put to better use. There is no reason the car park area at the back of Airport Plaza and Baan and Beyond cant be linked into the airport. The air force land is a waste of space. Do they need a city centre location as a training base for vintage aircraft? So there is lots of scope for improving the airport and access.
If the new airport is built and the old airport remains open for the air force and some domestic flights, you can guarantee air fares will increase which ever airport you use. The new airport will have higher charges because it cost billions to build. There will be a 500 baht transport charge each way (just a guess). The flights that still operate to the old airport will be more expensive because you will now have to pay a premium for the convenience and time savings. If it does cost 500 baht each way to get to the new airport this cost will be used to raise the airfares the old airport.
It won't take an hour to get into the city from that location unless your cycling! The Lampang Chiang Mai highway is having major upgrades already. You could be at the moat in 30 min. It doesn't matter how much land is around the current airport, there is no room for another runway which is needed to cater to the demand so no choice but to build out of the city. They should extend mahidol Rd from the overpass at airport plaza over to Nimmen Rd then all the tourists have a straight shot to get to the area from the airport without stopping. I welcome the move.

"A picture tells a thousand words " as they say.
Here he is, the man child all pissed off that everyone is talking about how great John McCain was and nobody is talking about how great he is!
He really is a disgrace to humanity, the fact is brought all the closer when talking about a real hero like John McCain.
It's literally eating him up. I bet he's stamping his feet about it.

Doubt it. Look at the above image. Hit rear off side.
Ice truck was parked at the kerb making deliveries, rider passes a car that was in the centre lane on the left (under taking), saw the ice truck too late and clipped it trying to avoid it. My thoughts anyway.

Looks like he was undertaking instead of over taking. That's a very apt name for the manoeuvre - undertaking.

The guys being treated outside the international terminal. No matter, hitting a Benz s600 is going to cost her (or her insurance company...) She better roll up to the hospital with flowers for the security guard, pray at a temple and think of an excuse for her actions quickly.

I have two very small dents, hardly noticeable but annoying all the same. Paint is undamaged. I saw on a TV show some guys with a tool that popped these small kinds of dents out electro magnetically. I wonder if anyone in Chiang Mai has a tool like this? Might be worth investing in one if not!

I was surprised recently to look at a vigo pickup at a tent dealer, very low klm (99% sure it was correct going by the condition) top model G going for less than all the private ads for similar vehicles that were only the lower E models with higher mileage.

I know tons of fantastic, well made roads here. I would go as far to say race track quality. They are resurfacing with "hotmix" many roads (where they combine tar and aggregate and lay it down like a blanket) provides excellent grip wet or dry.
As always, be aware the road could suddenly get rough too and ride accordingly.

Mt sport bikes can go a lot further than me but oddly my touring bikes tyres are worn to the edges and I take it easier on that.
Either way, I always ride with a mind to keep 10 - 20% in reserve of what I think are my capabilities.

If your wife has guardianship you will need a letter from your ex saying that she allows it but I've taken my son out a couple of times who is the same age and they never asked for anything.
I hope you are on good terms with your ex.

Get a low mileage top of the range 2nd hand Toyota or Isuzu pickup for that money would be my suggestion. Let someone else take the initial depreciation hit.

It's disappointing when manufacturers lower their bikes for a certain market and give no option to order one with normal height. I saw a new CRF250L in a dealership and it was also lowered, not sure if you can buy one with normal ride height but it makes taller riders pay a lot to change it. BMW did this with their F800GS. Lower seat and suspension. Luckily Triumph don't do that.

Visa issues. Living in Thailand 23 years off and on now, still working to support family, home etc. Get a visa that says "permission to visit family".... 3 month stay. Impossible to get a multiple entry anywhere except home country and even then it takes weeks. Yet Thais in my home country can get permanent residency after just 5 years. Oh well, after all these years you just go with the flow.

Often in these cases the perpetrators say (translated to English) "I was enraged" as their excuse. As if this somehow justifies it....
No matter, a merit making trip to the temple and some pocket change to the family and he can carry on being a prize ©**t.
