    Oh well...things change...????

20 years ago there were bars in Soi "0" under the flyover and Soi 15 where there is the now the big Sofitel.

Soi 11 had BedSuperclub, Soi 5 Gullivers used to be rammed.

Whilst I appreciate the removal of the street vendors who blocked the main Suk Road...with their removal a little bit of the "soul" of Bangkok also departed.

Saying this, the McDonalds on the corner of Soi 5 must be the only one in the world which operates as a freelancer brothel!

The land is far too valuable to sustain cheap beer bars and massage joints. Eventually they will all disappear or go "upmarket".

Saying all this - the land next to the Landmark has been empty as long I can recall - anyone remember was there originally?

Don't forget Mc Donalds at Robinson Asok, freelancers day and night sitting alone trying to make eye contact with the tourist guys. Ok, that was 15-20 years, haven't been there since ,probably changed a lot. Remember when Asok intersection was a dark place at night, Exchange tower was a ghost building, and there where shabby "hole in the wall" bars where interchange tower is located. Drive pass there a few times a year, the area is completely destroyed, only makes me depressed to see the new shopping malls.

It is a quiet time of year in Hua Hin. Think about it. Most of the ex-pats are Scandinavian. Best time of year (most years) to visit back home, or travel. And not as many tourists. HH does not get infested with Chinese tourists, like many other spots. Not as many. And western tourism is way, way down. Best time of year to visit HH. It has many charms. Vey pleasant town, in my opinion.

Heard there's a government offensive to attract Chinese tourists back to Thailand, Hua Hin is safe! Time to stockpile earplugs...

I was just smiling thinking about folk saying you must get a car painted if a clear coat scratches....????

Here is an informative vid which clearly clears things up..????

Wonder how the area will look in the long term, a few years in the sun, when the clear coat is reduced?

The OP has rubbed off paint from another vehicle as I understand and just petrol on rag will deal with that and just repolish after.

If it's rubbed through the lacquer coatings it will need a respray.

If I could see it I would know what to do.

    Ok here it is:

So,  the silver car paint is stained with white color. The surface fells just slightly rough, but i can run a fingernail across without getting stuck.

If you can't feel it then a good car polish will sort it with a bit of elbow grease..

You might even get it off with some polish ...take care using anything else. Scratch removers are a big NO NO and T-Cut can be a little harsh if you are not careful .........

Can you recommend a good polish brand?

Yes, the numbers circled in pencil are the answer told by her teacher, the "X" written with the pen are her answers.

She also told me that there was only one person whose score is 100/100 in the qualification. Student who has the highest score will be chosen to the competition outside her school, and that exam given to her is The English competition past paper exam.

    0/100 would impress me more.
