Qatar airways always provide fast track vouchers when departing from Bangkok. However, upon arriving in Bangkok, the queues are usually dreadful, has anyone ever used a fast track voucher that enables you to pass through a fast track when arriving in Bangkok? Does any airline provide these vouchers?

If you travel business or first class.

I arrived yesterday having travelled on business class, and i yes, i got a fasttrack vouchure. But the normal line wasn't as nasty as i expected it to be, so i saved the vouchure for an other occation. The airport was anything but crowded. What happened to the high season, and the ever rising turist arrival numbers?

Not the case, anymore, for 100mg time release tablets; for 50mg instant release capsules yes.

These restrictions seems a bit strange to me.  Shouldn't instant release capsules  be more attractive to abusers than the slow release?

And why does Boots and Watson only sell Ultracet (37,5mg Tramadol+325mg Acetaminophen) over the counter, do they seriously believe that abusers reject these coz of the acetaminopen content? In fact, there is a serious risk for the abuser to end up with liverfailure due to paracetamol intox.

  3. There are reports of problems using batteries in the heat, dont know if the the device actually can blow up or only malfuction. There are however many systems that uses capacitors, like Transcend drivepro 200. Since the capacitor is weak, it might discharge after a few days so you have to reset time and date, but it should not be a problem if you drive on daily basis. Perhaps the G1Wc has a stronger capacitor?

Top end is Blackvue 750 that comes with a rear cam, but the screen is quite big. Blackvue 650 is more stealthy but of course no screen at all so you have to view the video via wifi. Not sure if you can trust the connection 100% though.

I hope Blackvues next step will be like 650, but with a separate monitor that can be attached lower down on the dashboard.

  4. All NSAIDs can cause gastritis and stomach ulcers but Arcoxia is one of those with less risk for that. If you prefer another NSAID like Diklofenak, its possible combin with Omeprazol to protect the stomach from irritation.

Another problem with the NSAIDs is the increased cardiovascular risk, especially with high dose and long term use. Of all the NSAIDs, Naproxen is the one proven to have lowest cardiovascular risk. Particularly patients with known cardiovascular disease who cannot avoid using NSAIDs, Naproxen is the drug of choice.

  5. I agree. Especially when PPIs (proton pump inhibitors) like Omeprazol doesnt work, it calls for investigation.

If you dont mind me asking, how old is she? Does she have any abdominal pain or is it just the acidic reflux symtom alone? Is she on some other medication, like painkillers?

  6. Has she done a 24h Ph monitoring test to confirm the diagnosis? This is the "gold standard" to verifty the diagnosis, especially for those who do not respond to weightloss, changed diet, quit smoking, and all the available medications like Omeprazol, Esomeprazol, Ranitidin etc. If this test does not verify GERD, other diagnosis must be considered.

For some surgery is the way out, its called laparoscopic fundoplicatio.

  7. sure, but I'm not going spend my entire day hiding in the small soi. Eventually, I want to go outside and into the city. I'm just wondering what negative consequences I should expect due to the air pollution.

Perhaps living in a quiet area, down a smal soi with no traffic? Surely that must be better than staying in a condo next to some big road.

Its imposible to escape the air pollution living in Bangkok, but i try to stay away from the worst traffic as much as i can.

I also want to know more about what consequences one can expect, is there evidence for higher risk developing COPD? Cardiac diseases? Other types of cancers?

  8. Interesting topic. I once read somewhere that the risk of dying of a lungdisease was 40% greater among residents who lived on the ground floor compared to those livning on 8 floor and above. But there where also a greater risk of sucid jumps for those living on high floors.

I wonder how a study in Bangkok would turn out....?

  9. Pain in ribs, lower left side?

Could be from your ribs/muscles or your lung as suggested above.

But it could also come from your left kidney, especially if the pain is on the backside, ex kidney stones are quite common. If its located on the front side, it might acctually be your stomach.

Very difficult to recommend the best imaging modality without full history and physical exam. So you need to visit a doctor first

  10. Bad news x2 today. Negative interest rate in sweden, -0.10. And bank of thailand wont do anything to weaken the baht.

    See you further down......

    ------------------------------

Just saw that headline this morning.

I guess now if you havw your money in an account in Sweden, you must now pay them to take your money?

It's all a part of the coming death of the Euro, the Eurozone, and the Gernan Eurobank gangsters scam.

And so the swedish housing bubble keeps inflating. And when it pops, the real crash will come.
