Thanks for the replies. Seems a risk bringing the machine in so I wouldn't do that, but there are a fair amount of non thais work in thailand so maybe applying for a work permit may be the way forward.

Not sure about bringing the machine into the country. Perhaps do some research on the customs website here: http://en.customs.go.th/index.php?lang=en&top_menu=menu_homepage
To legally work you need a work permit. But what is done in a private setting probably would never be noticed.
Yeah I was kind of thinking about that but worried about the equipment getting confiscated I'll have a look at the link thank you

Can someone explain how the condo buying works for farangs please. If someone was to buy a condo can we actually live in it legally forever or do we have to get a visa and do border runs? Also how does everyone else Get around staying in thailand if your not married to a thai and don't own a property? Does everyone leave the country every so often? Thanks ?

Hi
I'm self employed and wondering if it's possible for me to work for 2 or 3 days on my trips to Thailand. I visit 2 times a year at the moment (would like it to be more) and I'm wondering how it would work out for me if i was to bring a tattoo machine and needles through customs. I understand the complications of owning a business in thailand but I'm not doing that. I have a business in uk and would just like to work on a couple of clients in thailand during my visits. Thanks in advance ?

Hi
I'm want to leave pattaya today and was going to phuket but my friend mentioned koh samet as a place he visits. I just wondered if anyone else has been and is it worth while. Nice beaches etc? Night life? Also any advice on best way to get there would be appreciated.
And is it worth visiting rayong for a night or more on the way? I have no idea what's there.
Thanks

Hi does anyone know if eva air economy seats have a electric port for laptops phone charging?
Thanks
-
It seems like most people are comparing 1st or business classes ive only ever flown economy lol maybe one day I'll get the chance to go 1st class but i just think to myself save the money id rather spend it on having a good time in Thailand. But my main query was about the airline themselves which has been more than answered. I feel safe to know eva are a good airways it was just that i had never heard of them before

This sounds like a major problem. I suggest you leave Thailand immediately!

Ive booked with eva air this morning but through westeast travel and i cant log into eva air 'manage booking' and my mate just booked and said my seat still shows as available. Any idea why anyone?
-
Thanks everyone you have been more than helpful. Ive made my booking with eva today

Yes sorry one engine on each wing. Ive always felt safer with planes that have 2 on each wing because i always think well if 1 cuts out they can still fly... probably just me being silly lol
-
What i have noticed is eva fly single jet planes rather than twin. Although im still going with eva ive always felt safer in twin jet planes

Thanks lots of info from you guys

I can save £25 booking an EVA flight through westeast thanks for the advice

Is there a company that i could book through which allows to pay a deposit then installments towards the cost of a flight to Thailand? I do this when flying to Barbados but haven't seen any way of doing it to Thailand. I will check out westeast travel thanks

Ok thanks for the advice. I actually thought thai was great. I usually use virgin to travel to other destinations and they used to be good and i thought thai was even better. But I'll definitely use eva now just wanted to make sure i was making the right decision thanks

Hi all.
Im returning to Thailand in april to celebrate songkran. Ive flown with thai airways the past 3 times and think they are a great airline but if i stay in Thailand over 4 weeks the flight price jumps up an extra £200 or more! I was told by a holiday company that thai airways like you to return within 1 month and now ive seen that for myself as this time i have decided to go for 5 weeks. Therefore ive looked at other airlines and came across EVA airways which seem to be a good airlines from the reviews ive read but you cant beleive everything you see on the Internet, so i thought id ask in here. Have any of you flown with Eva airways before and what are they like compared to Thai airways? Do they have the same level of service? What are the meals like and do they offer complimentary alcohol? Also are they reliable? I have never heard of them before thats all.
Thanks in advance.

Ok I have the basic school qualifications of English maths etc.
I then went on to do performing arts which I got a Btec for.
Im now working for myself as a car trader which I have been doing for 10 years.
I do enjoy working for myself but would preder being able to travel back and forth to Thailand therefore would consider any type of job position whether working for myself or company etc.
Thanks

Hi all
I'm new to the forum. Ive started travelling to Thailand since last September and have been 3 times already. I really want to move to Thailand but have family commitments in the uk which will not allow me.to live in Thailand. I was thinking what if I could find a job or some type of work or work share that would allow me to travel between Thailand and the UK. For example 1 month in UK then 1 month in Thailand continuously. Any advice or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Condos and Visas - can you legally live in a condo?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Thanks for the replies. I'm 34 years old and would love to live in thailand at some point, it's obvious possible because lots of westerners are doing so already but for me at the moment it's not possible due to commitments in the UK so my thoughts were to buy a condo and be out there on a regular basis. But I didn't know what the deal was if later on I decide I want to live in Los full time in the condo I would buy. Thanks
