Coco gym in Mike Shopping centre has a nice view of Pattaya beach. It's bit more than 120 baht though.

I thinking of going to Siem Reap from Pattaya. I am not to keen on driving to the Don Muang to catch a flight. Has anyone taken the deluxe mini bus from Pattaya to Siem Reap? If so what is the trip like?
TIA

Do as your wife wants! Otherwise you will never hear to end of it. Besides I like that model of CRV myself and I miss the old one I had.

I used the new online service to do my 90 day report and was sent a reply that it was pending. After a week I received an reply saying it was not approved because I had over stayed, which is not the case as my visa is not due until May next year.

I would say you can only get a divorce in the country you are married in. In this case the US. Any settlements would be according to the US courts.

Sent my water cooler for repair to Sharp service centre and it took them 5 months to repair. But it never really worked properly, so I purchased another brand of water cooler.

My daughter attend Sawang Boriboon Wittaya School and does the Chinese English program, We receive very good feedback from the school. Her classroom teacher has a Line group which informs all the parents what is happening in my daughter class. The advantage of the CEP is that the English and Chinese teachers are native speakers. The English teacher also contacts the wife on Line about the progress of our daughter. This year the school has started to use the School Bright app which again details what is going on at the school. It's all in Thai of course, but one thing that does impress is that you can see if your child attend on a daily basis. We receive all our daughter's exam results via Line very soon after she complete them. In general we are very happy with the school and with the progress of our daughter. My only concern is that the school day is very long 8 to 5 or 6 pm if she attends extra tutorion. You might consider transferring your daughter to the CEP program to receive more feedback.

It appears this will be your first extension of stay which means the money only needs to be in the bank for 60 days not 3 months.
There is no 30 day extension for a non-o visa entry. Your only choice would be the 60 day extension to visit your wife.
Thanks. Problem solved. I will going ahead and apply for the retirement visa now.

Hi,
I am on a 3 months non-immigrate O visa and I will apply for a retirement extension soon. I need an additional month extension to my current visa, so I can have my 800K in the bank for a full three months. What the best way of obtaining month extension, going down to immigration and asking for one? What paper work do I need? I am married to a Thai, so is it better to apply for a two month extension via a spousal visa?
Appreciate any advice.
Thanks

I simply would NOT give a copy of the Chanote ownership. End of story. A copy of
the lease and a copy of the photo of your passport with the above mentioned thick
squiggly lines and what the photocopy is for should be enough. Everything else forget
about it. Maybe consider more if your man on the ground taking care of your rent collection
is known to you and trustworthy and they can accompany your tenant to the government
agency making the request. There are just too many scams going on. A loan is taken out
on the house in your name and you will be responsible. The banks/loan givers are well
protected, the home owner is not. You will be left to repay the loan and it will be up
to you to get the money back from the tenant. BEWARE
Thanks for the advice.

UJ is spot on with his summary Woofer.
It's normal to take the landlord's ID and house book when applying for extensions as proof of address.
Being a foreign Condo owner though your name will not appear in your blue book.
Your chanote will carry your name though and proof of ownership.
The renter may require a copy of your passport, chanote and blue book to satisfy Immigration.
Nothing unusual about his request.
Thanks for the info. I will supply the tenant with the information he requested. I thought I better check before I did.
Cheers
Alan

As a digression I think we should all look at how Woofer had responded. Extremely courteous and polite and thanks passed on to everyone for their advice.
The man or perhaps it's a woman is a shining example of how people used to react and in a minority of cases still do react.
Agreed. Sometimes I feel like saying thank you on behalf of someone when they get a detailed, informative, and helpful response and don't have the courtesy to say thank you.
Thanks mate!

When I applied for my last visa extension I had to supply photocopies of my landlords ID card, rental agreement and their blue book. On the copies they drew diagonal lines across as detailed above. Immigration are definitely asking for my proof regarding residence these days.
Edit: typo
Thanks for the info

If you give them a copy, draw 2 Parallel lines diagonally across the document copy and write something like "Only for purposes of Thai Immigration" (or whatever is appropriate) in between the lines.
That is quite standard in Thailand when you need to give copies of important documents to all and sundry.
thedemon offers sage advice .
As said make sure that those lines are thick and squiggly as well.
Documents are so very easy to replicate these days.
You could lose your property due to outright forgery and fraud or as a security for a loan or a business transaction etc. The avenues of fraud are manifold.
I will do thanks

Exactly, the locals do this all the time for all kind of copies.
Nobody will be able to take over your land based on a chanod copy. But TiT, everything is possible
Thanks for your input

Perhaps confusion between a work permit and applying for an extension at immigration. Although there have been reports of some work permit offices wanting proof of residence.
I was also asked to provide this stuff last time around (not sure whether it was extension or WP).
Thanks for your input.
