  1. I think about the drag queen show, but this is just an option.I also want to have dinner at a restaurant that is not too touristy, where they would celebrate Christmas with a live band or choir to feel home.International food or Thai is not a big deal, something around 1300 B/person maximum I can afford.

Any recommendation for restaurants and after dinner?(no hook up,thanks :-)) )

    Thanks a lot guys.

  2. Everyone seems to go after young, cuttie, slim Thai boys.YOUNG is the key-word.What's going on with Thai gay males who are no longer in the standart?I mean in his 40's,gotten fat, fading smile, tired of life...

Do they find real love?Or Do they have to work their butt off to pay for a young cutie BF(vicous circle here it comes again).

I'm just curious about this question. It's easy for fading beauties from West moving out to find DESIRE.But what about Thai fading beauties?

  3. I go to Thailand back and forth for leasure and business but still am not used to local tipping. If residents can give me correct advices,I would greatly appreciate it.I usually tip masseur 100 B/h.150B if he/she does good job.300 B/2h.

Is that too much or correct?

    Many thanks.

  4. I tip 20 B to the doorman when leaving the hotel if he helps me to carry my baggage to the taxi trunk.50 B/70 B if the doorman bring my baggage into the room after check-in.50 B/night for the maid, there are the 2 of us.I usually leave it under the glass in the bathroom.

  5. Hi all,

Sorry about bothering you guys again but as I'll be staying for 5 nights in Samui, need to prepare ahead our trip.

I'd like to know about the must-does and sees for a daytrip on Ko Phangan.I'll get there from Samui.I was told that biking on the west coast is more beautiful. How good is the road for biking?Any nice beach to recommend? Is there any moped rental agencies near the ferry pier?(I'll come from the Big Bouddha).

    Thanks a lot guys.

  6. Hi all,

Since I have to spend 1 week in Pattaya,I'd like to drive a car or ride a motorbike along the coast of Pattaya to explore around. It can be either down south direction to Koh Samet or up north to Bkk.I want to take it easy and pull my car or motorbike over whenever I see a nice beach.

What would you guys advice me?Riding the motorbike or driving?(what's the less dangerous?)How bad is the traffic here beside Bkk?

    Thanks a lot.

  7. I guess Asian culture accepts more easily fem-typed gays due to its belief in karma. In their eyes,a fem guy is just a girl because "she" knocked at the wrong door when trying to get into her mum's belly during her pregnancy according to the belief. This is a budhist thing,so I don't think that your BF's mum was trying to put her son down or making fun of him when using the "She".

  8. A long distance relationship is never ever good !!!

All you can do sooner or later is get a job in Thailand to get closer to him or sponsor him to come over in your home country. If you don't wanna think about any of my mentioned solutions, try to get rid of his image from your mind!

You guys are suffering for nothing!and I guess he will be suffering from your love in lesser degree than you as Thailand is a sunshine country which heals you in no time!

    Love is blind :o

  9. For me,a guy wether he is attracted to women or both genders,as long as he has sex with another guy is obligatorary a GAY.Don't you think so?

Some people that have spent time in prison might disagree with you.

:D Have not been to jail yet...but it can be my fantasies :o

    In reply to BambinA,

I had an adventure longtime ago, when I was teen with a female professionnal,(I didn't enjoy it all). Since then,i have only had sex with males,so can I define myself as BI?

Maybe I was wrong and my Bi acquaintance was right over the past weekend.

Anyway,a couple of years ago over a conversation with a friend of mine about another guy for who I was falling in love, all I wanted to know was if he was rather bottom or top, since he claimed to be versatile, and this mattered to me as I'm only attracted to top guys,so my friend said"if he's versatile,he is BOTTOM,so forget it".

  10. Hi all,

This is a new topic that has crossed my mind since the past weekend. Here it goes:

I spent my past weekend with some gay friends among those a bisexual guy who claimed to be bisexual and underlined that he is not GAY.

As for me, I think that a bisexual guy is GAY too.

I don't know what you guys think about it.For me,a guy wether he is attracted to women or both genders,as long as he has sex with another guy is obligatorary a GAY.Don't you think so?My bisexual aquaintance seemed to be proud of himself and claimed"sorry,I'm bi but not gay".

    haha....

  11. Hi.. and welcome to the more "cultured" board..!

(And if anybody hi-jacks this post.. hit "Report" asap.. and I'll deal with it..!  I've had to do it a few times already...)

First, I think it's good that his other friends didn't seem to care about you and the bf... so it was only the young/giggly/naive one..

I think I would have just ignored him.  His firends seem to have ignored his giggles too.. by what you wrote.

I tend to be non-confrontational in any way at all, unless someone is obviously aggressive towards me first.

    Hi OP,

I agree with above comments.I wouldn't call what happened to both of you as Homophobia.I experienced worst in Vietnam.13 years back in the past,my BF and I visited Hanoi, and I felt very uncomfortable with the local's behavior.Once,a guy detached from a group and threw an icescream stick at BF's back and yelled"PD"(fag in french).I would call it Homophobia.Even in Thailand, when you drive into the backcountry, some local kids might make fun of you with glances and chuckles.Of course, this make you feel uncomfortable at the moment.

A lot of tourist guys, unfortunately when travelling abroad, behave as if they were home, regardless to the local tradition or tolerance.

    As BambinA said,F...them off!!!

  12. Of course, the 3 times I've been to saunas was not in my intention

Ohhhh, Bkk... pleeeaze! Once is an accident, Twice is co-incidence.. But THREE times....!!!!!!!

Was it just for "research purposes"...? If your friends "dragged you there".. you COULD always say noooo sorry, I'll go to a coffee shop and wait for you....

    LOL. :D

    ChrisP

PS Hope you secretly enjoyed it. :o

    Ok ChrisP :-))

I have to admit that the second time was another coincidence,as I found that guy online and we went to the sauna the nearest my home as he and I were not able to house any of us.Plus,it was much cheaper than taking a hotel. But the third time, another friend(not bf)dragged me in because you see,my surrounding is kinda special when it comes to hang out or chill out with them, the first sentence they start is"let's go to the gay village"or"let's go to the sauna",so I didn't see myself chilling out in a café solo while others going to do their business.

  13. BambinA,

I know that my thread is shocking for straight people but I think that for most straights, they can hardly imagine such things could exist on earth!!!Even if I've heard of some orgy parties with straights but they are so hiden and you gotta have a membership card to be able to walk in.Not like gay saunas which are soo commun in the gay world!!!

Of course, the 3 times I've been to saunas was not in my intention. My gay friends took me in there and I was shocked to see how many attempted to put their hands on you without asking your permission! You can always say as one English guy told me on the first time"hey honey, but you are here for it".

Also,I don't feel confortable with getting naked in front of everyone,as I'm not self-confident with my body.Plus, like ChrisP,those who are my type are not interested in me,and I just don't want to end up in the darkroom lol

    The_Mooq,

Keep swirling around the butterflies :-))(I like your sense of humour)

  14. What goes on in "Dark Rooms" oft-found in gay saunas?

Is that where one goes for a snooze, or to play' blind-man's buff' ? Or 'hide and seek'?

Just don't take me wrong. The sauna in Amsterdam was the very first I'd walked in.My friend and I had been to a weekend in Amsterdam, and it turned out that he found a guy in a bar and they both decided to go taking Action in the sauna, and I had no choice other than following them.We just stayed for one night in Amsterdam and we had no hotel room, and this was the very first time I experienced a gay sauna and had no idea of what it could have been lol.

Of course,it was not in my attention to get there to sleep over night lol.

  15. As for me,I have been so far to 3 saunas in Europe. The first one was the largest in Amsterdam,as we call here"meat factory".I was very scarred to see how bold guys are in there to get naked in front of everyone. Then I was nearly raped couple of times because it was bedtime, and i was very tired(I was brought in by my best gay friend and I had no choice).I found a comfy booth to sleep in and many guys forced the door and finally when they saw that it was not my intention they went to report it to the manager who came and kicked me out.

The 2 other times was in Paris, well, the French were more polite, they didn't force me and tried to look in my eyes before taking ACTION.I've heard of the 7th wonder of Babylon in Bkk,but never ever put my feet in there,as I find them all not really personnal. One of my former best friend loves it soo much that he can bear 5 guys in a row every sunday afternoon.I personnally find it just disgusting, not that I'm against making love, but I'm against that system of standing in line and yelling at the customers"next"like in America.

This is only my personal impressions. Now,if others find saunas real kool,I have nothing against you,so sorry but I have no intention to hurt or criticize anybody who thinks diferrently.

I'd like to have your own impressions on saunas.

Do you like it or not?

  16. Hi Pattaya residents,

Would you tell me if there are daytrip tours that do Pattaya/Koh Samet?I'm keen to visit the island just for the day and get back to Pattaya in the evening. What are the prices for the day trip?Other than that,do you think I can do it on my own?If so,what beaches would you recommend me to visit on Koh Samet?

    Many thanks.

  17. Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if the 4 islands mentionned above off Thong Krut of Koh Samui are worthy for a daytrip? Are they good for snorkelling or just a rip-off?Can one move around the islands by foot or rental motorbikes? How are the beaches and scenery?

    Thanks a lot.

Hi, good choice! I live in Thong Krut and am very happy with the little backwater. There is good snorkling off Taen and the beaches of Matsum are great. Taen has a couple of nice beaches also but I don't think there are any roads. TK tours in Thing Krut runs snorkling trips all the time in long tails.

    Hi Keeev21,

Since you live in Thong Krut, can I ask you some more questions?

Do you think it's better if I rent the longtail boat off to one of the island then spend the whole day on there(just the boat ride),or is it better to book into a halfday trip package which includes lunch, then they drop you off in the water for snorkelling?

Which island would you recommend me from the 4 of them? Are there restaurants on there for eating out?

How far is it from Sarong Bay(I'll be staying at Arayaburi resort)?(near Big Budha I guess)

    Many thanks.

    Cheers.
