Green color or just a bit muddy?  If the latter, you could put something like a sand filter in front of the tank.  There really isn't much maintenance for a storage tank.  In your case, there could be a build up of sediment on the bottom - maybe get the cesspit guys to suck it out?

    A very little bit muddy.

The fist thing to do is get the water tested.

If you fill a clear bottle and leave it undisturbed for a day or two does the water clear up?

    How does it smell?

Are you filtering it to drink or just to bathe and whatnot?

The smell is ok but it´s not 100% clear.

First thing is to decide what the water will be used for, this will govern what treatment is required, there is a major difference between drinking water and watering the garden, showering or washing the dishes. A water analysis is a good place to start depending on usage needs.

As bankruasteve has said, if it's just a bit cloudy /muddy, a pre sand filter with increased tank size giving more settling time maybe sufficient.

If drinking water,  3 stage filter with UV is the way to go.

I only want it for showering, washing clothes and dishes and cooking. For drinking I only use mineral water because the so called drinking water is completely dead.

The best testing comes from the 1000's of users own experience.

My first choice of pump is Grundfos, others will tell to Mitsubishi, Hitachi, etc, it comes down to price and local service availability.

For tank I used fibreglass and happy with it, but don't really have any preference.

Thank you. But the pump is not the problem. Interesting is the water cleaning system. What is necessary, which brand is good, etc.

  3. Our village uses groundwater but the water doesn´t look clean. Also our water tank is under the ground what is difficult to maintain. So we are thinking about to buy our own water cleaning system and a tank on the ground. Any recommendations which systems and brands are good? Also for water tanks I see prices between 5,000 and 30,000 Baht for the same size. Are there independent tests of different systems and tanks?

they don't look bad to me, they sound like people doing a job that few in society would be prepare to do, to defend democracy and the way of way of life that all the hand wringing liberals enjoy, but don't like to acknowledge the price. don't criticise   unless you have served.

For me killing civil people, kids and women looks bad. It´s the same if you would say that shooting suspects from 20 cm in the back like US policemen did is not to criticize unless I was a policeman.

Australian SAS in Afghanistan had been recognised as the best of the best by NATO commanders. Announcement of war crimes prosecutions in the coming years, is a major blow to the prestige of Australian armed forces.

Cold bloodied murder of unarmed POW and civilians (so called 'blooding' of new recruits) by Oz SF in Afghanistan has been front page news here in Oz for a few days. The SAS squadron mainly responsible for the murders has been disbanded and removed from the military order of battle - all those who served (approx 3000) have to hand in their awards for service in Afghanistan.

Some few huge idiots make a whole army looking bad. But what´s also shocking, that rumors and evidences are in the world since a long time but instead of follow them and investigate deeper, the investing press got problems.

They do it cos it is best for their own country.

Not sure about that. No foreign electrician, plumber and handyman in general will open a business in Thailand and bring new knowledge into the country. So it happens that the Thai constructors learn from their fathers, they from their fathers and so on. That´s by example the reason why many tilers never heard about a tile glue and put the tiles in concrete. No progress in the country.

When my Thai wife lived over 10 years in Germany, she got a 1 year visa first, then a 3 year visa and then an endless one. No stupid 90 days reports. She can buy land, work in every job, open her own business owned by her to 100%, etc.

Germany and also other countries are developed countries because they allow influence and new ideas from outside (and yes, there are some problems with foreigners too). The bosses of the German company Biontech what found the covid vaccine are migrants from Turkey by example. They would have no chance in Thailand. Foreign professors are teaching at German universities, foreign scientists are working in German companies, many migrants are bringing the country forward. Thailand was a developing country 20 years ago and will be one in 20 years for sure.

If a Thai woman has a tattoo there's a 98% certainty she is prostitute. One walk around Nana and you'll see nothing but tattooed hookers.

I absolutely agree. There are not many tattooed girls in Chiang Mai. But when I look at bars, gogos and clubs in Pattaya, there is perhaps 1 of 10 girls without thave attoos. Easy to find a newbie girl in Pattaya´s bars - she has no tattoos.

I don´t like tattoos. Will never have one and never a gf with tattoo.

I think you have misunderstood the 3000 baht, I think that is to do with the room price. As far as I am aware you can only get 40% on the first 3000 Baht of the cost of the room per night. If someone was in a room 2500/night discount would be 1000/night, your interpretation would limit the room price to about 1500/night and that is not the case.

This is the government website  https://www.xn--12c1bik6bbd8ab6hd1b5jc6jta.com/

Right click and select "translate to English"

Follow the link at the top to search for businesses.

If you click in the box for Province, 2nd option is near you.

That's what my wife sent me:

"Right to receive 40% accommodation allowance" not exceeding 3,000 baht per right and not more than 5 rights per person, the system will show the rights used. Able to view details / check remaining rights

  9. I am confused. My wife tells me, that the stay with the 40% vouchers is limited to 5 or 10 days (she got different information). But is this per stay in one hotel or is the voucher generally limited to 5 or 10 nights? We want to fly from Chiang Mai to Phuket and use the 40% scheme for 4 hotels and stay in every day 4 nights.

How long or short in advance I can book?
