  1. Just get a hobby is number one, drinking and girls is not the way forward, ( fun for a wile ) but you will end up as one of these poor sods you see on the news with no money and jumping off your condo balcony, thailand can be a great place to live i love it, been here 10 years, but if your a fool it can chew you up and spit you out, seen it so many times ive given up counting, alot of guys seem to leave the brain at the airport.

  2. I got a cross bow in a store near tesco checkout ... Says it can be used for fishing lol.. Next time I go fishing will take the cross bow and rode. Very powerful went through a paint tin and out the other side.

silent.. i like it, but i litle deadly if i miss and the bolt drops on someone from 8 floors up :-)..lol..
Not an expert but is it true that crossbows are silent? Mind you, my only reference is Daryl from the walking dead, in which being silent is a necessity to ensure not drawing attention from the mass zombie horde

It doesnt make much of a sound... If someone broke in to my house lets say a zombie... and I was home the cross bow would come out.. Pistol if I missed... Not as good a shot as the walking dead guy..

walking dead and zombis aside, getting back to the reason i jumped on here this moring ( unless ive missed the reply i needed..lol. ) are air rifles leagle in thailand, ??... for shotting birds not zombie's, quick change of subject if you like zombies then PS3 or 4 game called THE LAST OF US fantastic, played and compleated it twice, going back for number 3 when i get home, maybe the best game ive ever played.

  3. Is the OP asking if the weapons are legal to own/possess in Thailand or the UK??

I was asking about an air gun, or BB gun as they seen to be called in thailand as i want to buy one, ONLY for the purpose or rodent control, my condo building has a large amount of birds in the roof that have decided its a great place to live, this includes dropping bird crap over all the cars in the car park below, its that bad ir has marked all the paint on the roof of my truck. so i said i would take them down..lol.. with an airgun to the other owner as many other things have failed, but i would only want to own one if it was leagle to do so.

i forgot to add i live in thailand this is not for the UK

  5. Ive had the same problem for years in thailand, i work out of thialand but live in thailand, i go to work come back and just spend money, i use to live here on the non O visa, but they changed the rules, now you can only get the visa on arrival 3 times a year or 90 days total, im not married, im to young for the retirement visa, and with more and more of my fellow oil and gas workers being turned away at the airport ive had to get the elitie 5 year visa, a very bitter pill to take, 500,000 baht, and not all of us who work in the oil and gas sector are on rock star money like so many think, but i was out of options, my home, cars, bikes, friends are all here so i had to do it.

Why cant they have a visa like the retirement visa for under 50 year old's, 800,000 baht or income for a 50 year old, so ok have a visa 1,5 mb , if you have that kind of money in a thai bank then you can look after yourself no problem for a year, even if they charged 10000 baht for the visa.

I was almost at the point where i was going to sell up and move somewhere that would be happy to have me there and take my money.

I understand why they have clamped down, but treating everyone the same is not the way to do it, if you dont tick the right box they will not think outside it.
