Slightly off topic.
I changed my passport (UK) 4 months ago. I did a 90-day last month in person (No Problems). I intend to do my next 90-day online. Can I expect problems when I enter the new passport number?

Thanks. A bit of advance notice would have helped although I wouldn't have received it by email, he he.

Suddenly this week I am no longer receiving my e-mails from the forum. I did not unsubscribe! Has any member encountered the same? How do I resolve this?

Slightly off topic.
I have recently obtained a new passport (British). Does my wife have to submit a new TM30?

CharlieH. I live in Phayao. Where I live, I am very far from town. There are absolutely no Brits for countersigning etc. I suffer from severe sciatica (cannot walk more than 50 meters). Sad eh! Can you point me in the direction of a reliable agent who I can contact by email?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
Does anyone have an update, or a link to, the requirements to renew my passport in Thailand?
Thanks in advance.

Can anyone on here supply me with an example (redacted, of course) of the letter I need from Bangkok Bank to confirm that my transfer to my account originated from Wise? My branch is in Phayao and I'm frightened that I may have a communication problem.

Re Post No. 31
If this really is the case, could I apply for a 90 Non-Imm 0 Visa while I'm on a 60-day extension (permission to stay up to 05 Sep 20). This would be preferable to applying for a 1-year extension as I think they are going to ask me to prove 12 monthly deposits of Bht40,000 which I cannot do - this was the reason I changed last October from a 1-year extension based on marriage to the 1-year ME form Savanakhet. I forgot to say that I can now prove 5 months ITT transfers of Bht40,000.

Can anyone supply me with a link to the police order about 1-year extension non-o monthly income method. I've searched for hours and cannot find it.

No. The 60 days was from today. I didn't want to risk leaving the application until the end of the amnesty in case there were unforeseen problems. Up to you if you want to risk it. Personally, my balls aren't that big.

As I reported on another thread, I successfully applied for a 60-day extension to my Non O ME today at Phayao IO (my permission to stay ended 24 June). I was told to apply next month for the 1-Year extension based on marriage to a Thai. They didn't want o know about a 90-day report for now. Hope this clears up any worries.

Just got back from Phayao IO. Successfully aplied for 60-day extension dated from today (my permission to stay was until 24 June. Was told to come back next month to apply for 1-year extension. I will have to present a 12 month statement even although I have only 5 months FTT deposits. Hope this helps those who were worried about the date of approval.

Does anyone know if Phayao IO is one of those offices that will issue the 60-day extension from the date of application since my permission to stay date was 24 June?

Just go to your Thai bank and tell them you want to transfer GBP fro your account to your TW account. I did this in January. Remenber to take your TW account No, sort xode etc. It's quite a large form but it's the only way. Then you have to tell your pension provider to change your bank details to your TW account. Fixed!

Thanks Joe. I've got all the necessary proofs. I'll wait until the amnesty is over before applying.

Last October, after being unable to prove my monthly pension payments were coming from abroad, I obtained a 1-year ME to visit my thai wife at Sawannakhet. My question is this:
Now that I've sorted out the proof of international transfers (thanks to Transferwise), can I now apply for a 1-year extension with proof of 2 monthly payments of over 40,000 baht into my bank account or will I need 12 payments?
-
You misunderstand. To receive funds into the account I need to give my full account number and full sort code to my pension providers. When I opened the TW account they gave me only a partial account number and a partial sort code telling me that I would be given a full account number and a full sort code when a deposit is first made into my account. How can I get my pension providers to pay my money into an account for which they don't have the details? Not having a UK bank accounf, I have no other way to deposit GBP into a TW account.

A few years ago when I became eligible for my UK state pension the DWP informed me thatthey could pay my pension straight into my Bangkok Bank account. I thought this was a great idea. I immediately agreed and also arranged for my Armed Forces pension to be paid directly to BBL. The arrangement at that time proved ideal for me and, seeing no use for it, I closed my UK bank account.
When the embassy stopped issuing the bank letters for immigration, I dicovered that all these deposits had the bahtnet code. Despite several attempts to trace the origin of the transfers, the bank failed repeatedly to come up with evidence which immigration here in Phayao would accept. Hey Ho, off to Savanakhet for a 'Multi'.
I then dicovered Transferwise who told me if I opened an account they would give me an account number an sort could so I could my pension providers to transfer my pension to my TW account. I opened an account and received a partial account number and code and was when they received the first deposit they would supply me with the rest of the account number and sort code. I queried this ( I had already told them I don't have a UK bank account ) and they said sorry and no, they could not accept a transfer of baht. No further help was offered. Do any of you TW users have a solution to this 'chicken and egg' conundrum?
Sorry about the length of the post!

Thanks for your very detailed reply, Burma Bill. Very helpful!

I've already successfully installed the app on my Samsung Tablet. That was the easy part. I was happily filling in all the fields in the registration part until I came the 'attach file' part. I have all the documents required store on the tablet but I'm unable to get to them by clicking 'attach file' and no way out of the page to get to my files.
Any ideas, anyone?

After having successfully obtained a Non-O Multi entry at Savannakhet at the end of last month, I now need help on the procedure at Mai Sai (I live in Phayao) at the end of January. Can I just leave Thailand at Mae Sai and enter Myanmar and turn round and leave Myanmar and enter Thailand. Do I need to buy a Visa-on-entry to enter Myanmar (how much?). Any information from someone who has done this before would be greatly appreciated.

Best ever experience! I went to check on requirements two weeks ago. I had a query about a missing bankbook and statement FTT entry (Wise change of policy last October} and gave then a letter from Kasokorn Bank explaining the 'local' tranfer to Bangkok Bank.
They understood the problem and said 'no worries' and gave me an appointment for yesterday afternoon.
I arrived with all the correct paperwork at 1 pm and left at 2.30 pm with an 'under consideration' stamp.
The main reason, I think, for the good experience was that there had been a complete change of personnel since last year.
I hope these new people stay in post for the foreseeable future. Well done, Phaayao Immigration.
