Pattaya was reeling from torrential rains that caused widespread flooding, leading to vehicular damages as cars attempted to navigate the waterlogged streets. The situation was swiftly addressed by the authorities who conducted a thorough inspection. Soon after, the water level gradually receded and normalcy was restored around 12.20am today.

The deluge was reported in the Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri province, where heavy rain fell continuously for over an hour. This resulted in flooding in several areas, with water levels in some parts rising between 50 and 80 centimetres.

The Thailand Meteorological Department issued its tenth warning, notifying the public of the storm “Koinu,” which had weakened into a depression. Today’s weather conditions still promise a 60-80% chance of rain in the northern and central regions, including Bangkok and its vicinity.

Among the affected areas were those alongside the railway line from Khao Talu Soi to Wat Dhamma Soi, the front of the old railway station on Sukhumvit Road, and the Sam Line intersection at Mum Aroi. The flooding rendered small cars and motorcycles unable to traverse these routes.

A resident named Anon, also known as Kee, was surprised to receive an unusually high electricity bill. Concerned about this, they contacted the Thai Electricity Authority to investigate the matter.

The investigation uncovered a shocking revelation – Anon’s neighbour had been stealing electricity by connecting their house directly to Anon’s electric meter. This unauthorized connection led to a spike in Anon’s electricity bill.

At 1pm today, Anon explained to an online news outlet that a neighbour had connected a line directly under the meter and routed the electricity into their house, inflating Anon’s electricity bill. Anon, who hadn’t been home often due to staying at another house, was perplexed as the usual bill was around 1,500 baht. However, during the first month of absence, the bill rose to between 2,500 to 3,000 baht. Anon initially attributed this to the air conditioner, but by the third and fourth months, despite reducing its use, the bill remained at around 2,500 baht.

After inviting the Electricity Authority to inspect the meter, the electricity theft truth was revealed – the neighbour had secretly tapped into Anon’s electricity. Anon also requested the Electricity Authority to review the neighbour’s electricity usage records and discovered that their usual bill was between 6,000 to 7,000 baht. When confronted, the neighbour admitted to the act but claimed it was a misunderstanding, believing it was their own meter.

One of my biggest hates in this country is the awful noise made my modified exhausts . I just don't get how the riders see it as being a good noise. Everyone they drive past curses them, while they ride with pride thinking they are being cool. Now I don't know what bike she had, or how bad the noise was, but I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. Living next door to one of these cretins would force me to move. The Thai's who own their houses don't necessarily have that freedom to do so.

Nowhere in the post were 'modified exhausts mentioned Sherlock.

What incredible skills of deduction would bring you to mention it.......or just supposition?

They probably didn't have a legal motorcycle license.

I don't know what gets into these people that don't ride motorcycles in their own country but when they get to Thailand, they think it's easy and they can handle it. I've had an motorcycle since I was a teenager but I think Thailand is not a regular or normal place to ride a motorcycle let alone learning how to ride one.

Food for though: Thailand is ranked one in the world for motorcycle accidents.

What makes you think they "probably didn't have a legal motorcycle bike licence" Sherlock?

An aerial shot would have been better.  Was the US ship even moving, or how fast.

    Near collision - 150 meters ?

USA is playing a dangerous, provoking game.  How would the US react to an Carrier Strike Group off Wash. DC's coast.

There is no need for them to be there, except to provoke the Chinese.  USA & UN doesn't even recognize Taiwan as a country, and only a 12 countries do, and have diplomatic relationships with Taiwan.

Those 12 countries are;  Belize, Guatemala, Haiti, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Paraguay, St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Eswatini and Tuvalu.

That is a fair call actually.

"Namthip’s inability to flee from the charging elephant due to her large stature was considered a contributing factor to the fatal incident, reports Sanook."

Sounds like she was obese (as are many Thais these days). RIP but she might have survived if she was in better shape.

"According to task force officials, the victim had called for assistance in pushing the elephants out of the plantation."

Also the incident could have been entirely avoided if they had simply left those elephants alone...

    Well deduced Sherlock.

You should give the Thai lessons on elephant culture. You are obviously well versed with a lot of experiece on the subject
