High End Tourist - what is that? what makes them "High End" Is this some sort of envy that "High End" people are more important than us simple folk. It seems to me Pattaya has more than it's fair share of 5 star resorts. I haven't heard of any complaining or closing through lack of support. We all have different ideas how we should enjoy holidays.If one wants to isolate themselves from the majority in Central Pattaya, there are many other places to visit within 30 minutes or less travelling time. If Pattaya is dead why are there thousands of motor cycles rented out.

I live in Soi Buakow and it has never been dead - even flooding will not stop the traffic, the flow of people, or close any of the many businesses. Why do so many love to hate Pattaya?

Buriram - You think too much - we have Central Plaza - for mine, and most visitors come to Pattaya for it's chaos - and I find it hard to believe the man who originally started this thread is in Pattaya

Just like the Gold Coast in Australia, which has the wide roads, the perfect beaches, great weather the whingers found heaven 20 years ago and don't want to share it with anyone. Every new building, every new inovation is whinged about by locals and regular visitors. If you live in a tourist centre in any country you must be prepared for change, and if you are not prepared to embrace it you should move on. If their own cities or places they live in were that good why not holiday at home.

North Star Library run by Father Ray runs Thai lessons for English speakers several times a week and at different class levels at less than 100bht per lesson.

The college Naklua Soi 23 is for female only. On the first day the student sits and evaluation study and then placed in what class will advantage her most and improve her confidence. My girl needed help with writing in Thai but then progressed to the stage of her writing in English - which is neater than mine.
