So basically, if you're using the visa to live in Thailand for the whole year you have to leave every 3/5 months. A 60 day extension won't extend the year long validity of the visa. But you can get the extra 3 months on the end by returning on the last day of the visa.

Thank you Joe but not really what I mean. I'm try to avoid expensive trips every 3 months. On the departure card it says that I can just send a letter to imm div (1),notifying them of my address. The guy who stamped me in was hinting that I possibly wouldn't have to leave at all.
Does anyone do this alternative to leaving stated on the departure card by just informing immigration by letter of your address?

Hello, just returned through Suvarnabhumi with a new multi-entry non O, the officer who stamped me in said if I go to CW Soi 7, I can pay to stay for the whole year without leaving for the reason he wrote on my departure card. Can anyone add any more to this? Google translate just says it means - sponsor a child.

Hello, my partner has a UK residence permit. Does anyone know if there's a page online outlining the terms and conditions attached to the residence permit. We really want to know how long she can be outside the UK. Is it 2 years, or more?
Thank you.

Clarification needed, I've seen romanised 'mitr' used here and there in Thailand, what does it mean. Never heard a Thai speaker say it. Likewise 'di chan' is all over beginners phrase books as an alternative to pom(me), never heard it uttered on Thai soil. Clarification appreciated.

Visible from one of the tollways on the North side of Bangkok there is an old red brick building with arches that I have passed several times. It's on the left as you are heading towards the centre from the north. It has always interested me because it looks like it's from a different era. I have been scouring Google earth to try to find it. Any help appreciated. Cannot be more specific at this stage. Looks a bit like attached image...

Okay thanks for the advice. What I don't understand is why you need so much proof that you still live with your Thai partner /child, proof of funds etc., At CW but Thai immigration needs no proof of circumstances when re-entering at the border, just 90 days entry, no questions asked...

If you are the spouse or parent of a Thai you can extend your 90 day stay by 60 days at CW for 1,900 baht. No financials needed.
Okay, any proof of circumstances needed or can I show up with my passport with the o visa in it?

Yes, I have a multiple entry non-o visa, I suppose it's time to pack a bag and organise a ticket then...

Hi, (ubonjoe), probably,
First time o visa, first 3 months expiry coming soon. I live very close to immigration division 1 on chaengwattana. Can I use that online notification form TM.47, is it for o-visas? I know I can just cross the border, what are the options at immigration division 1?

Hello, I have two tickets for the BTS Love yourself World tour in April (Kpop). I want to know how I can sell them in Thailand, maybe online. What is a good platform for doing this? I want to reach out to the Thai Market, perhaps Ebay? Any ideas, is there a Line shopping app maybe? Any advice appreciated.

Only Penang will issue a multiple entry non-o visa based upon being the parent of a Thai.
You need to show at least 400k baht in a bank.
You will need your child's birth certificate plus a copy and a copy of their registry in a tambien ban.
No need for proof of where you are living.
They also wanted a copy of GF/mother's Thai ID card and a copy of my (applicants) passport. Luckily the guy with the van outside was able to get me online and print out/photocopy the documents there (for 16 Ringgit).

Submit in the morning and pick up next afternoon so if heading back on pick up day make sure of flight times etc.
This is important, is it AM or PM pick-up because I'm working out if I can get the Hat Yai-BKK train that night... Thank you.

Is the o visa next day pick up at penang?

Will just evidence of 400K in a bank book update suffice or do they want a specifically printed statement?

Unless you have an exceptionally good relationship with the senior consular official (and probably not even then) they will not accept 399,000 baht in the bank, even if you have cash to make up the shortfall. However, they do not require seasoning. If you are really close to the magic 400,000 baht figure, perhaps a friend will give you a loan for a few days.
Require seasoning? What do you mean?

Wih the 1 year multi you need to leave and return every 90 days.
If your multi says use by enter by eg 1st Dec 2019 you can leave and return on 30th Nov 2019 and get another 90 days making 15 months. That can be extended by another 60 days at your local Imm' office for 1900 baht so your one year can last almost 17 months.
If fact any one of your 90 day entries can be extended for 60 days as above if it suits.
Bear in mind if you leave and return during the 12 to 15 month period you will need a re-entry permit to keep that 90 days alive.
In what circumstance would you need to get a 60 day extension during the middle of your visa?

How sticky are they about it being 400,000THB? Will 347,000 plus a possible 40,000 ish do? Bear in mind it's casually written that they want me to get an o visa.

Does anyone know of any shops where large shoe sizes are available in Bangkok or nearby? I'm UK size 14. 50.5 European size.
Thank you.

Hope this helps people, I went to chaeng wattana Soi 7 this morning to see if I had to stamp my passport or anything (I'm on a multiple entry non-o). They said that there are no visa extensions for now until the 31st of July. So no need to do anything.
