  1. Hi all, a few questions about multiple entry tourist visas if anyone can help. Thanks.

I'm looking at coming back to Thailand for 7 months or so from the end of September. Not working, I shall be spending time doing some re-training in the Sunshine. All from home, no actual courses as such, just reading a few books and looking at things online.

I am looking at the 6 month multiple entry visa. Does anyone know when the 6 months starts? When I get the visa or when I enter Thailand? Can I get my last 60 days a few days before the 6 months expires? (I shall be around for about 7 months unless I need to head home earlier). Does anyone know what they need in a letter from an Employer? Does anyone have an example that has worked? Does anyone know what sort of
'Evidence' the Thai authorities are looking for for Long stay? Should I put myself as a teacher (I work at various UK Universities over the Summer months) or will they think that I am planning to work illegally in that case? I'm not BTW. I could put myself as an IT professional quite legitimately but if I have an employers letter it will have to be from my current Uni in the UK where I'm working as an EAP lecturer.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Cheers

  2. I came back from Vientiane yesterday on the bus direct to Udon. My bus left at 11.30, had cleared immigration in Laos and Thailand by 1pm and was in Udon Thani at the bus station by 2pm. The cost was 22,000 Kip or 90 Baht. You should try to book early as they get full.

    Sorry, I don't have Udon - Vientiane times but to Udon, the times are 8am, 9, 10.30, 11.30, 2pm, 3pm, 4.30 and 6pm.

This info is current as of 23/1/2015

    Best of Luck :-)

  3. Gentlemen,

I know that this is quite a recent post but given how quickly things can change can someone confirm that Laos is still the best place to get a double entry visa please.

Is KL no good these days? I ask because I have only 4 pages left in my passport and would rather not take one of them for a Laos visa as opposed to a stamp in Malaysia. Is it still the case that Laos uses a full page for their visa? I've been many times but not for around 6 or 7 years.

Thanks all, any up to date info much appreciated.
