Got a weak hand.

So excited about young Jerry, predicting he will have a big season, see no reason why he cannot be used to allow rest periods for Jamesy, with ElHam filling in at FB.
6 hours ago, salty said:Forrest who had a quiet 1st half
Yes, both him and MoEly relatively quiet games.
6 hours ago, salty said:Kilmala got on the score sheet
After a sublime pass by big CJ.

And did have a great game, my MOM.
6 hours ago, salty said:we still seem fragile especially with clearing headers.
Conceded far too many cheap corners and yes, far too week in the air.
But overall, well happy with first game, statement of intent.
Suspect we will start with big Vaz in goals next week and that looks like our first choice starting 11. No Griff on the bench, surprised to see both ElHam and Bitton on the bench, would rather have had Connell.
2 assists from Taylor.

Finally got a new keeper in, and its encouraging to spend decent money on what looks a quality keeper, instead of some cheap option, was so worried that we would end up with that plonker Joe Hart. Suspect we just could not wait for big Fraser F, so fair play to the board for making a call. He has big gloves to fill but seems to have all the attributes.
So now feeling relaxed about our squad going into new season, just need a few contract extensions and we will be in good shape. A bit concerned to see us being linked with a few strikers, hopefully Eddy remains for another season.
Disappointing to hear Micky J is going to be out for a while, could have done with his injection of pace on the left, as neither Taylor of MoEly have pace. Micky J just seems too brittle to me, skillful lad with blistering pace, but too easily rag dolled. Hopefully, he has been using this downtime to bulk up.
So overall, squad is in a good place right now.

5 star we decided on is 1800 inclusive on booking.com, rang hotel who said the rate is 2700 but with the 40% state discount that makes it 1533 baht. So you can save a bit but more like 10%.
Sounds good price, which hotel?

I have a Tefel Actifry, it has a slow rotating agitator, and only a timer and on/off button. So looks like just a set temperature.
I only use it for chips, they taste all right but look so pale. The rotating agitator is removable. Can the fryer be used without the agitator being fitted? Just reckon if I try say a fish, the agitator will brake up the fish.

Watched both games over the past few days, looked like Lennon just wanted to give all players the 90min. Taylor going off after a nasty tackle is a bit of a worry.
The second string done well against Hibs, surprised that Bitton, Rogic, Boli were not involved-injured perhaps? Nicham was head and shoulders above everybody, Soro showed up well, puts himself about. Griff on for 30min-seems like that rocket NL fired up his ass has worked, he looked good. But start of the show for me was Luka Connell, was only on the park second half, and was outstanding, played that Brown role. Hopefully see more of him soon, may even be an option at left back??
Looking like the Greek keeper is on his way, seems to tick all the boxes.

Stayed up to watch the game and have to say, was pleased with performance, against one of the worlds best sides. Just that difference in class told in the score line. Getting caught cold for first goal, a poxey deflection for second and a good spell for us between both those goals. Keeper error for 3rd and also young Jerry should have cleared in build up for 4th.
Jerry did have a fine game, would have been my MOM, Taylor and MoEly combined well down the left, Bitton was solid and Forrest did well, looked threatening when introduced. CalMac looks a bit off the pace, Nicham and Christie did well in first half. Eddy totally ineffective.
We are not far away but we just need a quality keeper and then its just a few tweaks.
That Neymar is one horrible individual.

A little off topic. For British type curry, Retox Game on have on special every Wednesday, Chicken Tikka Masala, comes with chips and rice, nan bread popadoms, a mint yogurt sauce and is really good, great value at 199B.
The best Indian restaurants I have found in and around Pattaya are Masala Twist in Jomtiem and India by nature-drinks are a rip off here,
Out by the lake, Fishermans is good.
Sadly, most others I have tried have been a letdown.

Just so good to get back playing again. Very useful exercise, getting game time into legs, started with possibly our first choice starting 11 and most performed well, with the exception of Forrest and CMcG.
We must have missed half a dozen tackles for their goal.
A raft of subs after an hour, Nicham and Welsh impressive.

Griff pissing everyone off again, could very well be in last chance saloon.
Should provide Klimala with his big chance. Hearing lots pf positive reports about him.
Still worried about keeper situation.

Get well soon.

Actually reckoned that Kepa had started to come good recently but must say, he should have tipped that shot over the bar, not exactly in the top corner, was it.

Still no keeper sorted, just reckon that after FF, whoever we end up with will be a downgrade. FF seems to be playing hard ball with Southampton, maybe angling for a pay off and if that's the case, could drag out till end of window, which is too late for us, we need new keeper in for CL qualifiers.
Also, need to et a center half in, God forbid an injury to big CJ or Ajer and we would be up the creek.
Pretty much in good shape in all other positions.

Went to O'Gara's at Tara Court today for breakfast, 150B, had the small one.
O'Gara's is a nice, comfortable place that I have used for many years but I find there menu has always been poor.
I do like that they give a big pot of tea, that gets you 2 mugs.
Food was bang average, service poor, extremely loud service grannies.

Great news for SPL Champions Celtic signing Mo Elyounoussi for another year, hope we have an option to buy at end of loan spell. He was just hitting form- 20 games, 7 goals and 4 assists-when he was struck down with injury, and foolishly rushed back for cup final when clearly not ready. At 25, we will be getting him at his peak, he is an outstanding player, great brain, can play in the 10 as well as left flank. Will be a vital European player for us-was outstanding against Lazio away.
Already got medals in his pocket, suspect all Celtic fans will be delighted with this signing.
Seems we can have who we want from Southampton!!!!!

Do you qualify for PR?
Have you been working with a work permit and paying taxes for at least 3 years?
Most people with PR will tell you a lawyer will not be able to do anything other than helping to do the paperwork.
I worked here on a work permit for a multi national for 10 years, then went on a retirement visa about 3 years ago. Would I still be eligible?

That's Gordon off the payroll, suspect he would have been a relatively high earner, he did get a contract upgrade when there was reported interest from Chelsea. So I reckon he was on around 20K a week. Overall, we got him for free, had a few good years out of him, decent enough SPL level, was a great shot stopper but poor in commanding his area, especially with high balls, don't think he ever saved a penalty, BR tried to get him to play out from the back, never worked and he did drop his fair share of clangers.
Should discover this week about our keeper going forward, still hopeful of the dream signing of big FF.

We tried Odessa about 5 weeks ago, on the recommendation of a foodie friend, have to say, not impressed.
I know it was during lockdown, they had no chicken, which he did recommend, missus asked for seabass I think, no have, they did have a salmon steak, came way undercooked, part raw.
I had lamb chops which were OK. But, maybe my fault, came with no veg or potatoes. I should maybe have asked what does it come with? But you would expect to be prompted by waitress also.
There was a cat roaming around, we were only 2 customers there and bill, for what we got, was expensive, a few plus plus.
Just got the impression they only wanted to cater for the Ivan.
They did give a complimentary shot of something like vodka and a raw pork appetizer.

That certainly looks good and at a very good price. Only thing missing is a piece of black pud. Then it would be perfect!
Yes indeed, cant remember if black pudding was available as extra or with a different breakfast.
The best black pudding I have had in Pattaya is at Bake and Brew.

A good sausage is something I have never found in Thailand.
I guess it is all about where a fellow comes from, am sure that the like of Germans will have found some that are similar to their home land.

Bayo off to France, hopefully will see lots of game time and then we can make a call, better than having him making up numbers here, looking like another striker coming in, so he would have had little or chance here, so best for all, wishing him luck.
Would like to see the likes of Shved, Boli Benyu and Ralston moved on.
