I am on non O-A (retirement) and planning to go abroad soon. What is it like getting a reentry at Suvarnabhumi? What are requirements and now long does it take? Where is the office? I’ve only gotten re-entries at CW before.

There is no way to get a re-entry after you’ve gone abroad, correct?

I guess this has been covered before, but I could not find in search.

    Thanks for your advice.

It basically means your record could not be found or you are outside the report window or such.

In many cases it is an error that was made when completing page one. It helps not complete anything other than the required fields marked with are red asterick (other than your names).

My report due June 25, so I am within the 15-day window for reporting, correct? I did fill in only required fields. Anything else I can try? And am I now too late to send by mail to CW?

  3. I will be doing extension at CW this month. Would those who have done this recently confirm this is complete? Thank you.

I am in this dilemma myself though with a twist in that I am going to the US in July. I can get Pfizer or Moderna in US easily enough but may also have the chance to get AZ in Thailand first (though probably only the first injection not the second unless things start up sooner than I think they will).

I would rather have Pfizer or Moderna. But I would also rather be immunized before getting on a long international flight. And I will face recommended self-isolation and other restrictions in the US if I arrive unvaccinated.

I am in similar situation, but leaning towards taking the risk of not being vaccinated before flight and additional restrictions upon arrival because of enhanced safety/efficacy of Pfizer or Moderna shot, including at preventing transmission, and possible future travel or other problems associated with Sinovac and AstraZeneca being not recognized or stopped for use in some countries; same with mix-and-match regimen.

May I suggest you do as many others do.

Put 800K in a 12 month Fixed Term deposit account. 1.2% interest rate, no debit card, so impossible to 'accidentally' go under the 800K requirement. Use that account solely for Immigration purposes.

Then a Savings account, 0.5% interest, with debit card for daily living expenses, bill payments.

    Simple.

I'd like to take your advice.  However, 3-4 branches of Bangkok Bank where in checked would not open fixed account without work permit, which of course retirees do not have. May I ask where/how you opened your account, if in Bangkok?

Are the two accounts you refer to with different banks.

I use FD and Savings a/c for money in bank RT at CW. No issue. Those 2 accounts with one bank.

Different banks might be an issue.

Both savings accounts at Bangkok Bank. So neither of your two accounts reaches 800,000 (at least during the required periods) but they both total that, and you present the two accounts when extending OA retirement? Do you get two bank certification letters? Thanks.

I got a reply from CM Ram Hospital as to what they meant by "Alternative Covid-19 Vaccines"?

"This survey is for Sinopharm and Moderna Vaccine and for Non Thai Citizens as well."

Of course I replied with Moderna or bust.  This survey is to start on June 1 at 1000.

Who at hospital told you that pls? Does this mean they plan to purchase Moderna?

    1.       I will do my 4th annual extension this month at CW. Can someone advise:

My bank balance in one account inadvertently dipped to 796,000 for 2 days, a month after I did my extension last year. I do have another bank account; the total the two accounts if over 800,000. However, I see a thread that says a Chiang Mai officer did not accept 2 accounts, must be all in one account. Can someone with similar situation assure me that’s not the case at CW?

    2.       Last year I kept my international insurance policy and bought the cheapest LMG to meet the approved-policy requirement. Has any better alternative emerged since then?

The rules state you should contact them about not receiving the receipt in the mail 30 days after your report date.

Best to go to your local office as soon as possible,

Do you have any idea if there is number I can call for this? I am in Bangkok and prefer not to got to MTT (MTT for 90-day, correct?) due to travel sickness and worry of infection.

    Thank you.

Yes it enough proof to prove you mailed the report.

When I was doing them by mail I made a copy of previous report receipt in case the original got lost in mail or such.

Well I mailed it March 8 with EMS return envelope and it is now May 1 and I still haven't received it back. Wondering what I should do now. I have postal proof I mailed it and that they received it. Do I need to show the actual notification approval document when I do my OA extension in June or when I exit the country in August, or for any other immigration process? Thank you.

  11. I had surgery to repair torn Achilles 16 months ago and did rehab exercises regularly for six months. While not painful, tendon now still feels quite stiff and I am walking with limp, seemingly favoring one side (don't know which side), with unbalanced gait such that my hips gets sore if I walk a lot. Has anyone here experienced same and can advise what I should do?

f so, I would give it until at least 7 days after the report date, before considering any options.

You included a return envelope addressed to you? You applied some sort of return postage? I recommend using 37 baht EMS for the return envelope.

Have you applied by post before? You are able to receive mail reliably at your address?

I included EMS return envelope, yes. Yes, reliable mail delivery at that address.

What I worry is that if I do not do the report in-person during the grace period this week, someone at IO may argue I did not file report.

Or is having the EMS tracking proof sufficient? I know I am supposed to clip the notification receipt into my passport, but I don't recall anyone checking it either at CW (when doing extensions) or airport.

  13. EMS tracking shows CW received my report on March 9, but I haven't received the return EMS envelope yet. My report due date is March 20. I note others here say it is often a few weeks before receiving reply. However, I'm wondering:

-- If I don't receive the reply in next few days, should I go do report at MTT by March 26 (end of 7-day grace period for in-person reporting) so as not to risk being deemed late? Is MTT the only place one can do report?

-- Is there a number to call at CW to verify that they are processing my mailed-in report?

-- What if I never get the reply back from CW? I do have my EMS sent receipt. I don't recall needing to show the reply at CW or at airport.

    Thanks for help.
