Sorry if this is already answered but I was thinking of applying for a 60 day tourist visa through the embassy in my country. I've lost my passport and I'm going to get a new one but if I apply for the 60 days tourist visa it will take an estimated 2 weeks before I get my passport back (since the embassy is so far away from my city it has to be sent by mail). I'm afraid that I won't have it back before my flight leaves. So since I've already booked and deposited money for my stay in Phuket, I was wondering if there is any chance to either extend my normal 30 day entry visa on arrival or through immigration somewhere in Phuket without any hazzle or troubles?

I'm only 25 years myself. And on the matter of the fake photo, i didn't want to get myself into a mess on these sites. Just wanted to see what they were like and how legit they would be. Many thought me some uefull thai words and i told them a little english etc, just friendly talks - and that's cool for me (atleast im learning something lol).

I could have my real picture and age but I had a feeling i might regret it later. Because of adding them on facebook and real skype calls etc. Is not really my cup of tea. Next thing you know you have a tons of girls constantly messaging you and drama here and drama there, and if you are really unlucky im guessing they will recognize you if they see you out somewhere. Let me just start by saying I've never used a dating site before, neither have I ever been to thailand.

I thought however I wanted to get a somewhat feeling of what to expect from thai bar girls, freelancers or genuine thai ladies.

So I created a fake profile (on thaifriendly) with a fake picture of some scrub moviestar and wrote in my profile that I wasn't looking for a wife, but would like to meet people and have a good time.

Never said anything about my income, but they did ask for a profession and I said I worked in construction.

Anyway, wihtin the first 10 minutes of creating the profile I think I had about 10 different girls clicking "Interested" they also have something called favorite. Not that many actually wrote to me, maybe 2-3 girls. Where one was like 48 (I wrote im 27 on my profile). So I logged off and checked back 1 day later and people interested had increased by a little bit. Got a few messages like "Hi how are you my name is Anne" and stuff like that, very original. With free user you can only reply once per 10 minute. I had no time for that stuff so I bought a premium user for one month for my fake profile.

I started spam clicking girls profiles and most of them if not all were "I'm honest girl not looking for sex or toy cam, i dont need money, want sincere man" and stuff. Many of these girls had tramp stamp tattooes and profile pictures from bars, not really disguising it.

I answered pretty much all the girls who wrote to me including some older women like 49+ and I thought this was hilarious, half the time I had no idea what they were trying to write but I just wrote "oh thats nice" and "oh very good" even though I was clueless on what they ment.

So everyone wanted to line id, which I had no idea what is. I said didn't have - im stupid farang, only use skype. So after getting a couple of them on skype and chatting with them there a woman wanted to have a call with webcam on skype. I wanted to dodge this cause it would reveal my real identity and she would notice that my whole profile was fake. So I said I was to shy to webcam today and I need more time before webcam and stupid things like that. She wanted to turn on her webcam anyway and I was fine with that.

She then manages to suck me up for a whole 10 minutes, about how she want sincere man and she would like to be with me. I must not see other girls and bla bla and during her talking she would sometimes shout like she was mad and then start laughing. Was pretty hard to understand everything she was trying to explain but I had a good laugh but she would just go on and on and on. So I explained to her that I had to go sleep cause it was very late in my country. After closing her call I went back on thaifriendly and looked through other girls and of course this woman notices that I'm online and starts spamming my inbox with "You no go sleep?" after 2 minutes of no reply she goes "You find new girl" "You not sincere and honest man" "You no stay for me" bla bla. feasty.

One of these girls first message was a picture of her butt (with underwear), in her profile it said she was working in marketing. She then starts posting pictures of her cleaveage in the chat. I kept trying to ask her if she was working in bar, no she worked in marketing with exporting tuna to china. Then she ask if I like her and I say sure, and she wants to meet when I'm in Thailand. I ask her if she is ladyboy and she say no and that she can show me. I told her the only genuine way to prove it was showing me her other parts. She actually insisted on showing me on webcam. Again, I turned down the offer to not show her that my profile was fake.

I did find some legit girls I think, but they didn't have any english skills whatsoever. Like 3-4 words so the conversation gets boring after 30 seconds.

All claim not be whores etc but feels like if you chat with them for a little time and then say you want to meet they are all down for it. Maybe it's just the fake moviestar photo

But if my doctor from my country subscribes some Valium (Diazepam). Would it be a problem if i bought them at a random pharmacy there? Or do I need to convince/bribe some doctor? If my room got raided and they found 10 tabs of diazepam would they treat it the same way as Yaba?

Im guessing it's safe to walk home from bangla at closing hours to hotel which is like 5mins away from jungceylon? A tuk tuk would be a ripoff for that short distance or?

I wouldn't mix them =) I get them at home from my doctor for treating mild insomnia for short periods throughout the year. So it's not like I would abuse or combinate them with anything. They give me less side effects than sleeping pills so I prefer them for short periods when necessary.

I won't be drinking consecutive for a month either so no worries.

Do not rent a motorbike, do not rent a jet ski and do not use a Tuk tuk. That will potentially save you a fortune. Drinks in the bars in the centre of Patong are expensive, London prices really and drinks you buy for the bit of pussy that takes your fancy will be super expensive and probably just orange juice - it's a scam. If you drink in the bars on the outskirts cheaper but less girls to choose from. If you are on your own you will pick up company so keep a check on buying her drinks because you will be 2,000 down in lady drinks over a few hours.

Food can be super cheap from the road stalks and Thai restaurants again on the outskirts better. If you are in town it will be double to ten times the price depending on what you eat.

Avoid the beach guys, they are scumbags worse than in Southend. Avoid drugs as they are either not what you are told, poisoned or a scam which police are in on and you want to avoid the police at all costs as they are mafia themselves.

Keep a copy of your passport with you and any valuables in the hotel safe, take out only what you need to spend for an evening.

Don't go to Koh Tao.

Yeah im not really into to the whole jet ski scene, so im gonna avoid that one. As far as bikes etc I might use them but only for short period of time like 1 day if i plan anything. Can probably ask manager at where im staying for some good advice and what company to rent from etc.

Nightlife seems to be the major holiday activity for you. In the recent years I've even got tired of nightlifte and drinking here. Think I only drank twice from 2014-2015, but the whole year i worked alot, picked up on training if I didnt have overtime/weekned work and so on.

So now I just want to see something else, get some new exeperiences and hopefully have some fun. Of course i also want to explore the island and the other islands outside aswell as seeing some exotic shit i can't see at home. But im not gonna go tarantulla hunting every night

Many on the forum are Phuket haters. Explore all the beaches on the island. You're not going to find anywhere near the nightlife in the other locals that you find in Patong.

Plenty of freelancers at the discos that will save you bar fines. Never carry a lot of money or leave your iPad out in the room. Thefts do happen.

I drink Sangsom and coke. 1/2 the price of JD. I'd try and get into a routine of exercise during the day, a nap and then hitting the bars at night.

I'd say stick with Patong. One month should be about right. I wish I was 25 again.

I guess I can start with saying I've read this forum for a while since it has some funny and good adivce for us newbs here.

Was too intimated by all expats at first to create a user here. JK

I can start off by saying that I'm 25 years old and it will by my first time in Asia. The problem is most of my friends is going to pattaya, I kinda felt in love with phuket and that it was just a small boat trip away to see the different islands. Im not gonna deny that i will spend pretty much most of the day drinking (in moderate doses lol) and just see different shit.

Im only curious at to how long will my money realistically last for 1 month drinking and bar jumping? - Im not superman or anything so i will also take some days off every little while - according to my doctor my liver and kidneys are top!

The only thing I've planned so far is air tickets and hotel for 31 days so hotel and flight is around 110000 bht total and i have spending money for around 100k baht for 1 month, brining some credit cards just as back up incase i run low on my spendings. But since I'm going back to school this semester it will be my last time having some actual money to spend on fun n hoes and exciting places for a few years. Since I've been working my ass off for quite some time in order to get this trip as fun as I possible could
