Then try !
I found the process to be very easy .

If applying for an O/A visa the funds do not have to be "seasoned" just demonstrable.
The point about any bank documents having to be sighned and stamped by a bank officer seems to be very specific. However, I am sure you have taken advise about this directly from the Embassy
-
`Sorry to say this but unless you possess some unique or specialist skills and good qualifications your options and "earning power" will be limited.

If you can stay for the 90 days which the visa allowed on entry to the country
-
This probably not the best forum in which to post your question.
Ask the Mods to move the question to a more appropriate place.

The expiry date of a VISA is found on the Visa sticker in the passport
It will say "Enter before (date)failing to use a Visa before its use by/enter before or expiry date will result in loss.
This is quite separate from anything "stamped" in the passport by an immigration officer at a border or immigration office.
-
Your decision but the stamp will not , of itself, cause a problem with entering Thailand.

I can actually change my travel plans around to arrive before the extension of stay expires and it's not hard to change my plans at this point.
In your opinion do you think that immigration would have any problem granting a further extension of stay based on the length of the absence from the educational institution (given my passport will be stamped, there would be no way to pretend I hadn't been absent from school)?
I'll probably be gone around 5 weeks.
Being absent for that period of time may place your chance of obtaining further extensions at risk .
-
Extensions of stay are provided for many reasons and are only available to those who qualify.
You qualify by virtue of attending "school" providing the school supports any application you make for an extension of stay.
You have nothing which is "valid" for 12 months but you will be allowed to make applications for extensions of stay for up to one year providing you qualify.
It is an official rule that language school students are only permitted extensions of stay for up to one year, providing they qualify, before a new visa is required.

Looks good....
1900 to the immigration office
3100 to the immigration officer
I do not know what you are attempting to imply BUT Thai immigration officers are not employed in Embassy's/Consulates and a 12 month multi-entry visa costs 5000 Bht !

If you go out of the country with a re-entry permit and return before your current extension expires then you can apply (with paperwork from the school) for a further extensions of stay.
The "school" has mislead and misinformed you about the "visa" which as you now know is long expired .
-
If you have an extension of stay the "visa" has expired long ago and is of no use.
If you do not expect to be back in country before Aug 7th a re-entry permit is of no use.
You must obtain a new visa or accept a visa exempt entry of 30 days (assuming you qualify)
-
He should be able to apply for the work permit with a visa exempt entry. There though may be a odd work permit office that would not accept it.
The company have a good relationship with the Mattaput immigration. They have never had a WP turned down in 15 years
The company will not obtain a WP from immigration !
Best you advise the company to try the Labour office if they want a WP !

British Nationals do not qualify for a VOA
He most likely has a visa exempt entry which can be extended at an immigration office for 30 days at a cost of 1900 Bht.
Your friend cannot work legally without an appropriate Visa and a work permit.

You will have no problem if this is the first visa sought from Vientiane

If I did not know better tales like this would fill me with dread .
It is, of course , also important to remember that here only one side of a story is told .......
I know, from many years experience, that when I attended immigration for yet another extension of stay that I will be treated politely by Officers who are both pleasant and professional.
Some "farang" perhaps need to examine their own attitudes and behaviour .

OK, I like to clarify two things:
1. The applicants live in Thailand six months every year. They come from all over Sweden. To find a doctor in a remote place in Sweden who can certify they are free from all tropical diseases can be a problem. We probably have among the longest queues in the world.
2. The certificates from Thailand, where it is convenient to get one while being there, are issued in most cases by a university hospital, with stamps and authorized signatures. They are issued less than 3 months before application date.
It is a matter for the Embassy .
You should take the raise issue directly with the Thai Ambassador in Stockholm.
Mr.Kiattikhun Chartprasert is Ambassador of Thailand in Sweden and is based at the Thai Embassy in Stockholm . -
As above .
It is not a generally recognised valid passport and claims of acceptance are made by WSA and relate to very few countries.
Thailand is not a country which is said by WSA to accept this "document".
The vast majority of people would have no need of such a document .

I seriously hope this post/topic is not a not a "wind up"
This is the first report I have seen relating to success in securing this "retirement" visa in SavannakhetI would hate that someone traveled to Savannakhet in the hope of securing a muti-entry Visa based on retirement only to be refused .
Lets hope the report has not been made in "error"
-
This is remarkable news which will please many.
Can I ask that you confirm that you received a Multi Entry 12 month Visa, based on retirement from the Thai Consulate in Savannakhet

Hello - I am also applying soon for the initial spousal designation of an existent multiple entry O-visa. We have the financials and other documents listed at Thai Immigration FAQ but they don't mention any applicable form and I don't see that specifically mentioned here, either. Is there a form or is it just a matter of bringing the appropriate evidence in? Thank you for any help. - Frawley
This is the form you require . Print two sided.

Living in the sticks has its advantages (Khon Kaen)
Always have bank book and letter from the day before.
Once the officer pointed to the photo, smiling and told me that it is quite old.
"Next time bring new photo".
Worst incident ever: wife had not signed one of the copys.
How stupid of me Cost me tea money to avoid a 200 km roundtrip.
Longest time ever spent in the office: about 45 min.
What was being applied for that resulted in "tea" money having to be paid ?

You can make the request it may or may not be granted .
There is also the option of making a border run to secure a visa exempt entry providing 15/30 days depending on nationality.
