I call BS why would they only do Non imm OA and not non imm B or O ? In the past some banks like SCB would only give to non imm B with WP which makes more sense than only OA.

More BS from a clueless government. How can a tractor kill weeds thats in between rice or corn? The average Thai farm is 5 rai which means it cannot justify a tractor. They effed up the whole chemical ban. Step 1 they should have decided on a ban date (about 2 or 3 years in advance). Step 2 identify alternatives. Step 3 test the alternatives. Step 4 select the most effective alternatives. Step 5 register those alternatives. Step 6 train farmers in using those alternatives. Step 7 make those alternatives available in the market at a reasonable price. Step 8. Identify organic methods that can help farmers cut down on chemicals. Step 9 train farmers in these methods. Step 10 continue R&D to minimize chemical use.

Oh yeah that World Health Organization, after careful review, declared glyphosate and other agrochemicals to be “probable human carcinogen”
The U.S. is clearly in denial... I wonder why.
https://sustainablepulse.com/2015/03/21/who-declares-that-glyphosate-herbicides-probably-cause-cancer/#.W-w7MehKg2wYou must read scientific studies on the subject. Glyphosate in its pure form seems to not cause cancer but Roundup and Touchdown uses other chemicals in their formulations that can cause cancer as a combination. One such chemical is used to break down cells to allow glyphosate to enter the plant cell. Scientist think that this chemical in combination with glyphosate could cause cancer. However all known cases where Roundup is thought to have caused cancer it was people that applied the chemical that got sick not by eating it. GMO products are however at greater risk to cause such cancers. In the western world they love their Roundup ready cotton, soyabeans etc. These crops are directly sprayed with Roundup. In Thailand we do not use these GMO crops. Glyphosate also do not build up in your body and thus small quantities will be excreted from your body without causing harm. The WHO declared that it maybe causing cancer but they said the same about red meat. I see may TV members want to ban glyphosate but I have not read about a ban on red meat.
Do not get me wrong I am against the over use of chemicals but unfortunately we are being led into a trap. The alternatives to glyphosate and paraquat are made by the same companies. These alternatives are much more expensive than the banned products. Thus the chemical companies will score massive with a world wide ban on these products. Secondly very little research has been done on these alternatives and we could be replacing something bad with something worst.
And yes we can convert all farms to organic farms. But then we must first reduce the population with half and be prepared to pay much higher prices for food. As for organic farming it is largely BS. Many organic farms are using chicken litter as a fertilizer but this litter is full of anti biotics and hormones. Micro plastics are everywhere and we are eating it even in organic food. Our water sources are polluted with chemicals and this water is used in organic farming. Organic food is cleaner food but not clean food.

On the visa side I think you need luck, but when you return DO NOT fly back, do a land crossing into Thailand. If you are refused entry you walk back to Laos, if you fly you get deported. The chance of being refused entry with a land crossing is less.

So wrong. Read the op.
The issue is not with passing Thai imm. Its about getting on the plane to Thailand. Yes having money on person it always good idea along with accom booking. The op main issue is obtaining boarding pass without a visa and onward flight.
Even if the airline allows him to board, immigration can refuse entry due to not having a flight out, not having B 20k or having too many visa exempt entries in the recent past. He can be deported at his own cost. As for the airline allowing him to board it is simple contact them and ask them, they are the only ones that will be able to tell the OP. This policy differ between airlines and any advice on here is pure speculation.

According to Thai law, and also according to ICAO or IATA rules, they are responsible
No they are only responsible if they allow a person onboard that dont have the correct visa. Use logic please. The airline cant be held responsible for immigration refusing entree.

The airline is responsible for taking him back out of Thailand. If he offers to buy a ticket with them to somewhere else, they will probably accept it.
Would be good to know if it is officially possible to buy a ticket out with another airline.
No he is. He had a valid METV when he boarded and thus they are not responsible.

If you get a OA visa you will good until about July of 2022 if you apply for it in July of 2020.
A OA visa allows unlimited one year entries for a year from the date of issue. By doing an entry just before it expires you will get another one year entry which means you could get a total stay of almost 2 years from it.
As the rules stand now you would be applying for your first extension when you apply for one. You would only need 65k baht going into a Thai bank for 2 months.
Joe does London still issue the OA multi entry visa or only the non imm o single entry 90 day visa.

It is an El Nino year and there is an 70% chance it will last the whole rainfall season and an 50% chance it will continue into the new year. We stay in Lom Kao (Phetchabun) and we had a very bad Songkran heat wave (47c) and then good rain in late May and early June. The rain then stopped and they predict it will only start again in July. We measured 37c again yesterday inside the house.

The only way you can try enter is by land. Fly to Laos or Cambodia and try to enter by land. If they refuse entry you walk back. Your family can then join you in the other country. If you try to enter by air and they eefuse entry your send home. Goodluck.

The homes that was torned down was build on government land. Much the same as what happens on most roads.
I live in Hua Hin. I can get on the 16:00 train to Bangkok and at 20:30 I come up out of the MRT next to Soi Cowboy.
If they can shave a hour off of the trip great. Anything that gets me there faster is OK with me.
Dual track means no more waiting on a side rail for other trains coming from the opposite direction, and they can haul a** without worrying about cross traffic. I am looking at what they are doing and it looks as if they are adding one more track besides the existing track where possible ON THE GROUND and then taking both tracks up into the elevated sections.
This construction project is very big. Thousands of homes have been torn down on the easement alongside the track all the way between BBK and HH. After looking and what has been built so far, I don't think this will be elevated for the entire route.
They are building flyovers for country two lane roads and dozens of new bridges over water. I have seen three new stations, all the same design, along the route so far.
Huge staging areas with piles of railroad ties and rails, giant piles of gravel, concrete mixing areas.
I like the train, it is usually mostly full, has AC, I just bring my own food and a bottle of water and noise cancelling headphones.
I look forward to being able to do day trips south to PKK.

Other stops on the way?
It´s about 190 km to Hua Hin from Bangkok with car. Train will go more straight, which will mean about 1 hour and 15 minutes at a speed of 160 km/h.
As I said in the comment above. Can´t believe anything. Mr. Worawut needs a calculator.

Without knowing the number of units used everything is speculation.

So you didnt activate the sms system which inform you of account activity. Plus how did they get around the chip. They can clone the cards magnetic strip and steal your password but they cant duplicate your chip. Lesson one always draw inside a mall or bank. Lesson 2 activate the sms message system. It is 90% certain it was a foreign person from the number of previous cases. Many times Malay gangs that clone and then use the cloned cards close to the southern border. They quickly re-enter Malaysia after drawing the money.

Have you ever tried to apply for an Australian tourist visa as a citizen of a non OECD country which includes Thailand ? If you have you will stop complaining. Plus if you wish to stay in Australian over a longterm you will need to be very very rich to buy your way in, while here you need a tip in Australian dollar terms.

Judging by the latest trends in Thai Immigration policy designs, I would say there is a possibility this is not a 4 year visa but a 2+2 year visa. In that case I would expect a lower investment threshold.
It is for the Chinese to build the high speed trains and for investors and companies investing in the special economic zone. Not for nomads who dont pay tax in this country or in any other country for that matter.

No problem for the wife, property ownership, money in account over a longterm, flight tickets, hotel bookings etc.

I would watch out for the smog during the dry season. Langkawi airport was closed a few years back due to smoke. To try and avoid the rain is not possible as it rain when it wants to. I further agree wwith Talibans comments, although I prefer to have my own car when staying on Langkawi. If your resort is out of town any taxi becomes difficult and a rental makes sense.
