Thanks for your help KhunBENQ, I've just been looking at the Non-O (3 month stay) on the Thai embassy website, it does look like a better option, thanks again for your reply.

Hi ubonjoe, yes it's for her application for OA Long Stay visa at Thai embassy in UK, we thought that she would need to get that visa first to come to Thailand and then be able to apply for extension based on retirement subsequently.

Does anyone know if it's allowed for the doctor to make comments on the Medical Certificate for the Non-Immigrant O-A Visa. My mother would like to come and live with me in Thailand and apply for a retirement extension in Thailand, she has all the required documentation ready apart from the medical certificate as her doctor has recently retired. She is also in her eighties and uses a wheelchair due to difficulty of walking due to arthritis. She was diagnosed with a mild form of Alzheimers although her condition has been stable ever since her diagnosis. I have a couple of questions, firstly can any doctor complete the medical exam and form, or is there a list of doctors who specialize in this area, as the local doctors I have contacted so far are not familiar with the process. Secondly, is it ok for them to mention my mother's arthritis and Alzheimers on the certificate, and will this cause the visa request to be rejected ? For info, my mother is UK resident.

I've also worn Rigid Gas Permeable contact lenses for many years, in my case due to keratoconus (conical cornea).
For the past 3 years I've been prescribed RPG lenses at Rutnin Eye Hospital in Bangkok, however after losing one of my lenses recently, I was unable to order a replacement lens at the Contact Lens Centre there. I was told that they no longer supply RGP lenses due to a problem with their supplier.
I then made an appointment to see the contact lens specialist at Bumrungrad International Hospital. They also informed me that they no longer supplied RGP contact lenses due to a problem with their supplier.
Luckily, after seeing the post here, I was able to make an appointment to see Dr. Vitaya at Clinic 2000 and order a new pair of RGP lenses which should be ready in a week. Thanks to tx22cb for providing the details for Dr. Vitaya, as it is proving difficult to order RPG lenses in Bangkok. The phone number provided (02 551 2451) and address of the clinic (Praholyothin Road, Soi 67/1) are still up to date,
Thailand ready to kick off mass vaccinations on June 7

Its good to hear that everyone registered with Mor Prom will receive their jab, including the 60 foreigners who managed to register. But what about the rest of us ?
Like many foreigners I was unable to register using any of the options proposed: 1) Mor Prom (no pink card) 2) Vimud hospital (registrations closed) 3) Bangrak Vaccination and Health Centre (building closed) 4) hospital which has my health records (unable to register foreigners) 5) www.ThailandIntervac.com (embassy staff only).
In the meantime we are on waiting lists at our local hospitals hoping that foreigners will be able to register if and when registrations re-open.
This is a major concern for those of us living in Bangkok and other provinces where there are severe outbreaks, especially for those who are more vulnerable due to age or health issues. My own hospital has its vaccination centre set up and they are ready to go but they have no vaccines.
If even a small number of vaccines could be allocated to hospitals in areas with severe outbreaks for the vulnerable groups on their waiting lists, they could be saving lives and preventing their Covid wards from becoming overwhelmed. I feel sure that most foreigners would also be willing to pay for such a service.
