Anyone who lives near ekkamai and can tell me a bit about this area?

This november i'm gonna move to bangkok for 6 months. I prefer to have a appartment in a bit quiet and "green" area. But still close to a BTS station...

Is there such a place in bangkok? I heared Ekkamai is nice and quiet with not many high buildings... can you confirm this or have any other suggestions?
