    I've used quite a few of these so-called illegal taxi services and found them to be cheap, safe and very polite. May be the larger taxi services should follow their example and stop over-charging etc. On service, these so-called taxi apses are here to stay (on merit).

    Thailand's downward trajectory started years ago. It's now in full swing. Like Blackpool (England), Benidorm (Spain), and Acapulco (Mexico) and various other famous locations that have all seen their best days gone, the Thai resorts will still be around for some time, but the hay-days are well & truly over.

    It's a few years back since I used Booking.com, but one of the reasons I used them was that you could pay over the counter. As this been knocked on the head?

    Get rid of this scum before its too late. I remember a big clean out in Singapore years ago, they could obviously see the implications of having a large community of thieves (I mean ladyboys) around tourist zones.
