  1. Once you have jumped through all the hoops and got a stamp in you passport for extention of stay in Thailand with a date can this be revoked or changed by Thai immigration?

I mean under normal circumstances living in Thailand not if you break the law or do something stupid.

I have a non-immigrant "O" visa and on the 8th of December 2006 I went to Malaysia via the Sadao border crossing as my 90 days was up. When I returned to Thailand the immigration officer stamped my passport for 30 days! I pointed out to him that I had a non-immigrant visa so he crossed the date out and wrote in the 6th of September 2007 (9 months!).

I was a bit suspicious but didn't say anything. In theory, all I had to do now was to report to any immigration every 90 days to notify them of my address. However, when I went to immigration in BKK on the 6 th of March, they told me that the officer had made a mistake and that I had to leave Thailand the next day and subsequently changed the date in my passport back to the 7th of March. No apology, no 1 or 2 days grace, nothing.
