I made a will here in Thailand with bank account numbers leaving all to her +
KBank has noted she is the beneficiary. Hopefully this will facilitate matters...

I used Allied Pickfords & found them excellent
That was seventeen years ago but I don't suppose they will have changed.
Were always good when my old man moved around with the army. Will quote price from where you live to where you are moving to in Thailand- 1

I used Key Visa Pattaya 7 years ago
Very efficient
5,000 baht + 100 baht to EMS new passport
Intend using them next time if they are still in business
Live up in far north, so much easier than going to Bangkok- 2

Doesn't seem an 'expedited intervention' unless I'm missing something. I'm hearing reports one of his random victims has now passed away. Lock the creep up forever!
Been better had he been shot "trying to escape"
Such like get us all tarred with the same brush- 1

In the South, White Gospel is called Southern Gospel -to reassure any Dollywood attendees in doubt.
Elvis was probably the last white southerner to willingly listen to Black Gospel. 90% of what we call show biz comes out of Black Gospel and Minstrel shows.
Elvis had an album out of gospel songs
I think it was simply called "Elvis sings gospel"
It was out of this world! Amazing -

A nephew of mine not long ago in Phuket was cajoled into playing some sort of games with the girls where when he lost, he'd buy a drink to 2-3 girls there and before long the tab came to 5,000 baht which he paid and left the bar feeling that he's been had.
He had (been had)

It would appear they have no idea how to conduct themselves in public, never mind in a foreign country

A 110 was 52,000 baht with electric start.
Both the above were with disc brake on the front- 1

He was killed because he tried to take on a car with a motorcycle.
Incredibly stupid.
No way a motorcycle cop in the West would try that.
In the West he would have followed and reported to a co-ordination centre, that would have vectored a car or cars onto the offender.
I tend to agree. Motorcycles are not usually used for pursuit.
Maybe not stupid - we don't know what training he had.
For obvious reasons -

The smaller towns and villages seem to be last on the list with every obstacle they can think of to cover up the lack of supply. Bangkok is already swallowing up (slowly!) everything that's available.
The poo yai here drove to the 2 larger administrative towns in the province to be told he can register but will have to wait for the vaccine till 'don't know'.
There is no hope for us plebs if he can't get a jab.
Been to the two hospitals here - Thai only still.
Same in our village.
Been two meetings so far & as yet, no one in registered. One person has apparently been able to register online - booked for September. Private hospital stated Moderna available & foreigners can book - but no one has any idea when! On & on it goes......................- 1

Afaik they have suspended anything driving license related since last month, so currently you won't be able to extend it. I didn't see any news that they revoked this suspension yet.
Told the same by ChiangRai office.
No foreigners until June 30th
This may of course change............................ -
I was told earlier on in the week by ChiangRai licensing office to wait until after 30th June. Foreigners cannot do anything online - only Thais. Driving licenses expired - do not worry - OK due to covid regulations......

Why do they need that?
I don't know. Also wanted wife's father's name.
In UK it may entitle wife to pension after husband's death but we in Thailand no longer get any pension for wife whatever happens, rule changed dome years ago. -
I have recently been in the same position as yourself
Went to gov.uk found international pension section, filled in online query form. It does say "may take up to ten days to reply"
Nine days later, reply c/w with about 26 pages to print off. Six are instructions &/or advice, twenty or so you have to fill in. I filled in all the required bits & posted them, along with my original birth certificate & photocopies of Thai marriage certificate & certified translation. In less than three weeks my birth certificate & the copies were returned. The rest is "in progress" (I hope) If you send photocopy of birth certificate, you will need to get it certified by lawyer, bank or similar. Form also states if you don't have certificate - send completed form anyway. I wouldn't wait for any claim pack to be sent to you - I didn't get one! Hope this helps- 1

There was no referendum and by the time one happened in 1975 the British had been lied to yet again plus the bad effects of the EEC had not yet all become evident, plus, by then, it had not mutated into the mainly political monster it is today.
Correct. I voted to join a "Common Market" - not a united states of Europe. We were lied to. Now run as a benefit club for mostly unelected troughers!

It's a pity that Starmer won't be in Downing St until winning the 2024 election- or hopefully earlier if a no confidence vote is successful. As for fishing rights who'd want to risk their health by consuming polluted fish anyway?
England - I'm sad to say is currently a waste of space...

Very few countries around the planet decided on a policy of herd immunity. The UK did. It then had to do a volte face and instigate a shutdown. If we had went with the shutdown earlier rather than losing weeks of precious time many lives would have been saved.
If the government had stockpiled PPE, ventilators and tests rather than sitting on its hands we would not be in a position where NHS staff and careworkers are going without.
If the UK government had joined the collective effort organised by the EU to bulk buy the above mentioned items we would not be short of them now. But apparently the UK government lost the email from the EU asking them to join with the collective purchase. Now that is pure incompetence at best. More likely a decision was made not to join the EU collective effort to access PPE because of political choice.
This will have costs lives.
Everyone could see what was happening in other countries. We were well warned.
Johnsons handling of this crisis has been pathetic. It was always going to be. You can't beat a virus with slogans on a bus. He is out of his depth. He has always been workshy and has the attention span of a goldfish.
Not the kind of person you want running a country during a crisis.
Article in a paper yesterday suggested EU "Coillective" had so far delivered abso;utely nothing...........................
