  1. I've just scanned the UEFA/TV, website, and found all the listed TV providers around the World for Euros 2021.
In fact there are 215 different countries and territories listed.  They include some well known destinations and some a little more obscure, from Afghanistan to Bonare(3 Channels), further down the list we have Mariana Islands 2 providers, Mayotte  also Midway, where is that? I have just been told there was a battle there during the 2nd World War, somewhere in 'The Middle' of the Pacific Ocean.  Palestine (Gaza Strip and the West Bank), Sub Saharan Africa, St Eustatius, and Vatican City.
A total of no less than 215 places are mentioned.  When I refer to the Wikipedia list of countries, there are only 195  which include The Holy See and The State of Palestine and Gaza strip.

BUT WHAT IS MISSING IS THAILAND.  Nobody has bought the rights in Thailand to show the Euro 21 games.  As mentioned by Admin previously.

Thank God for VPNs  But again TIT  This is Thailand.
  2. Shortly I will be a holder of two passports, dual nationality, UK and Ireland.  I have lived in Thailand for about 15 years, initially working for 10 years, and then retiring here for the last 5/6 years.  My Thai visas have been issued on my UK passport.  I now want to have visas issued  on my Irish passport. The reason being I can show proof of income and get an income verification statement from the Irish Consulate/Embassy here in BKK, this proceedure is  no longer available to me as an UK citizen. I have to either deposit 800 000 THB in a Thai Bank account, or transfer the equivalent of 65 000THB each month, from the UK to a Thai Bank Account. I would rather have the flexibility of using my money as and when I wish, without the restrictions imposed, by immigration on my UK passport.

Has anyone had experience of this situation?  Can a visa be transfered from one nation's passport to another? or when renewing the Thai retirement visa, can the application be made in Thailand, with the new Irish passport. (showing previous evidence of my retirement visas in my UK passport)- Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  3. It might be shown on www.uefa.com/tv ?  They are currently showing live, The Champions League semi finals and finals, also Europa cup final stages.  If the rights are not taken up by a broadcaster in Thailand, which is probable.  The matches might be shown on this site?  If so, if you have desk top, lap top, use a HDMI lead and connect to TV for live streaming, or a similar connection maybe used or  bluetooth , for I pad or Android.  Live in hope to see the Euros this summer live.

  4. I commute the other way, Hua Hin south to Samroiyot. All I can say is that yes, there are buses -- more plentiful north of HH -- but the timetable is a work of fiction. I can wait 5 minutes or 50 minutes, it varies immensely. As for the journey time, that depends on the recklessness of your driver, traffic, weather, a lot of things. My journey can be 50 minutes or 100 minutes, there's no way of predicting.

All this might sounf rather negatiove, but I have just changed jobs to work in HH, to avoid that bloody awful journey! :o

Thanks for the info, I guessed it was a bit like that! Ta for the quick reply too.

    Best Wishes.

  5. In the near future I maybe commuting daily between either Hua Hin Cha Am and Phetburi, as I will be working there. Does anybody know of fast options there, I do not have car at present. Is there a fast reliable bus/mini bus service from either Hua Hin or Cha Am? Is there anybody that shares travel costs there?

I travelled during the day, from HH to Phetburi recently, took 1 1/2 hours. Is this the regular commuting time, or can it be bettered. (very slow coach!). Any comments help would be much appreciated.

  6. Hi all,

I have read this forum for a few months now and i find the information given by the members extremely helpfull. So i will put my question here and see if someone can help me.  Ik have been to thailand many times. We have now a little boy of almost 1 year and looking for some accomodation in or arround Hua Hin. We do not like hotels, because at the moment that is not convienient for us sleeping in 1 room with a little babay. We are looking for something with a minimum of 2 bedrooms. I have checked by several agents in HH, who are renting houses but unfortunately almost anythink is booked or above our budget.

Can any help us with information for renting a house (pool would be nice) for the period from 19 november till 6 december. I hope to hear from you soon.

    Regards

    Try www.huahintoday.com

This last couple of days I entered Hua Hin on a 'ebay' general search. You will find somebody wishing to rent his 2 bedroom modern house out with swimming pool per week/ per month. I believe the only weeks unavailable are around Christmas time. This could be a very good arrangement as you are not here. I believe the owner lives in England. Good Luck worth a try. Regards.
