  1. Hard to take the hard left BBC seriously.  Purveyors of far left conspiracy theories.

Interesting that they don't directly quote anything in context, nor link to this website so people can read and come to their own conclusions, whilst this chap that apparently runs 'The Light' seems to be saying there should be free speech, and people should make their own decisions.

I have never heard of 'The Light' before.  I will need to check and find out what it is all about now I guess.

  2. Well. I'm m not convinced.

They announced flight s from Japan starting June 5 on April 22. But still not flights listed. There are igjts from July.

I emailed Thai AirAsia a week ago tonask if there would actually be flights in June. The reply today said they were escaling my question. An easy question to answer deferred, so I suspect things are more difficult than being let on.

While I find the listed case numbers as very worrisome and from a lack of testing, the deaths keep climbing upwards.  A few studies and reports indicate the lag time average from being infected to death.  Attached below is just one of the articles I found.  With knowing what the numbers are now and then extrapolating out we may well see over 200 or so deaths a day in the not to distant future.  Many of those have been vaccinated with the initial two doses and never boosted.  Boosters do give a fighting chance for not dying.  Those who wish to say that they would rather stay unvaccinated as the vaccines are untested need to think about there "My natural immunities are better than a vaccine" view.

Your links have nothing to do with your opinion that a booster 'gives a fighting chance' nor that somehow relying on natural immunity is a problem.  Wouldn't pass a highschool science paper with this submission.

  4. Well no, it doesn't operate like a live attenuated vaccine.  it operates as natural immunity.  I suppose that so many people have been programmed to think 'vaccine' now that it has to be explained to people that way.

Natural immunity works for the unjabbed.  The jury is out about whether it works for jabbed people though, as the jabs seem to interfere with natural immunity.

This is furniture for your own home ?  I highly doubt there are any regulations and if so who would enforce them ?

I'm glad you are using tempered glass  the amount of extremely dangerous  broken coffee table tops ( not tempered huge shards of dagger glass)

I've seen dumped by the rubbish bins is pretty horrific.

Can you let us know  where you are buying your glass from, location and cost would be great too.

A local glass guy has done it actually, and I am seeing the logo on the glass and not super happy with it.

My understanding, having google, is that tempered glass generally has to have it. The manufacturer has to do it.  But depending on country, not necessarily for private use.  I have read a waiver can be signed for example.

    But in Thailand?

The sinking fund is necessary now, but 14 years ago was just about when the new Condo Act was established so its possible the condo fell under the old regulations when registered.

Built 2009 apparently so should fall under the Condo Act presumably.  But perhaps I am assuming completion is the applicable date for the Condo Act rather than groundbreaking or even planning application?

  7. Thank you for these pointers.

I have had someone tell me that the sinking fund is a legal obligation, and the land office can actually step in, take control of a project and owners can lose possession of the condos!

That seems unlikely to me, but what do I know?  Is this person talking out of the wrong end of their body?

  8. Mine was through the Embassy in Tokyo.  I am in quarantine now.  I heard back in less than 24 hours and it was about a month before the flight.

The OP says he has uploaded the travel confirmation.  Presumably that is your flight?

The hotel booking is also required and at that time just a deposit was sufficient.  Now it must be paid in full.

And I had to buy and upload the Covid insurance.

Make sure you have uploaded all required documents.  As mentioned above, some people overlook the actual uploading part.  It is a 2 step process.

Evidence is emerging that people infected with the original strain can be infected by Delta, especially if they had a mild case the first time. So discount herd immunity through infection.

That seems a bit of a jump.  I am sure there will be exceptions to the rule.  I haven't seen anything to say this is the general situation, but will certainly read if you can point me in the direction of that info as it would be important.

Note that vaccines effectively give immunity to the spike protein which is 0.3% of the virus.  Natural immunity protects from 100% of the virus the person caught.  A virus variant will differ a little, but would be expected to be recognized by the immune system.

I currently know 3 people (in 2 countries) who had COVID last year, and are sick with it again now. They probably had Alpha the first time and Delta now, but that's speculation. All under 35, all otherwise healthy. None of them were hospitalised either time, but 2 of them are pretty sick at home right now. The 3rd, who is symptomatic but not feeling too rough, was also double vaccinated with Sputnik at the beginning of this year, but with such a small sample, that could just be a coincidence.

Well, they are unlucky!  Were the other 2 also vaccinated?  It seems vaccination unfortunately destroys the natural immunity to covid.

The vaccine is very similar to the Sars vaccine which had years of testing. So, the "untested crowd" carries little weight. It is a lame argument, meant to deflect responsibility.

I do not want to get vaccinated, but I am going to do it. I consider it a small sacrifice.

I think you will find that the original SARS vaccine was not mRNA based and also failed. As vaxxed or not along with most things about covid have become politicized, it can be good to fine info that predates all pf this.  For example an interesting short article in Nature regarding development of the original SARS vaccine:

    https://www.nature.com/articles/news050110-3

Its a 2005 article and has interesting points.  One of particular interest is:

"In the case of SARS, it remains unclear how antibodies might be helping some viral strains into cells."

Yes, it has been found that the antibodies from the vaccines can actually make an infection worse.  This was later called ADE (antibody dependent enhancement) and is the reason why there has never been a successful corona virus vaccine.  And is why there is a lot of concern surrounding the lightly tested current batch of vaccines.

The man credited with inventing the mRNA delivery system, Dr. Robert Malone, is greatly concerned about this and this.

Google him. He has been doing the rounds on tv on talk shows recently.  His segment with Tucker Carlson was of course banned by Youtube.  After all, what would the inventor of the vaccine delivery system know about it?  He believes the numbers popping up amongst vaccinated people and the push from Pfizer for a 3rd (and not fully studied) jab, along with the drop off of vaccine efficacy, are indicators of ADE.

He makes his case simply here on his twitter feed:

    https://twitter.com/rwmalonemd/status/1421829458449797120?lang=en

In his opinion, vaccines will not lead us to herd immunity:

    https://www.citizensjournal.us/mrna-expert-speaks-out-on-the-covid-crisis/?__cf_chl_jschl_tk__=pmd_6ddd5a92a9083b2c6aa95930e54b3c1647d5ab90-1628675399-0-gqNtZGzNAk2jcnBszQjO

This is an opinion today being echoed by Prof Andrew Pollard, who led the Oxford vaccine team:

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/08/10/delta-variant-has-wrecked-hopes-herd-immunity-warn-scientists/

Behind a paywall, but he says:

"We don't have anything that will stop transmission, so I think we are in a situation where herd immunity is not a possibility and I suspect the virus will throw up a new variant that is even better at infecting vaccinated individuals."

It is healthy to debate the vaccines. There are clear reasons for people to doubt the efficacy and safety of them.
