I need to send a piece of equipment overseas for repair and I want to make sure I have the correct paperwork to ensure I'm not charged import taxes (again) when it is shipped back to Thailand.
Has anyone done this type of thing before, and if so, what paperwork or other things are needed in order to do this?
Thanks!

Its staggering how many people still don't seem to understand that it is the movement of people that is causing the virus to be spread. Unbelievable!

More proof, if ever more proof was needed, of the myth of Laos being an impoverished, backward nation with a GDP that ranks 151st on the planet with 22% of the population living below the poverty line.
Then again, maybe her dad has a government job?
Loads of rich Laos people. They all shop at Central in Udon with funds donated by various governments from around the world.

'TEC Bike Parts' is another YouTube channel worth checking out for RE/Trumpy owners.

There are people that will transport your bike and you can fly, very professional but not cheap, BKK-CM about 6-8K i think or 2 for 10K.
Ducati riders use them when everyone else rides to bike meets...

Sorry, when you apply or reapply to a language school their don't ask for the classical thai brick of ekkasan? How can the language school accept a students with no legal visa?
As long as they get their money, why would they care if a student is illegal or not?

I have one.
Upsides: Better finish on the welding than a Triumph, better gearbox than pretty much everything. They sound glorious and look 'just right'. Easy to service at home. Beautiful paintwork. Uses 'old skool' stuff like tubed tyres and proper light bulbs, so can be fixed anywhere. Engine is sweet, unstressed and well fuelled. Bosch ABS, Brembo India (Bybre) brakes. Double walled exhaust that won't discolour.
Downsides: Some of the brackets/bolt-on bits look a bit 'Harley Davidson' compared to a Triumph. I can't get any accessories easily from the dealer (easy on eBay), and the servicing at the dealer is rubbish (I had a horn hanging off and a missing lock nut from one of the chain adjusters after the 500km inspection/valve check). Its not a speedster - its a great 'country roads' bike that only has 47bhp from its sweet engine. You start to feel the frame rails under the standard saddle after 90 mins or so - order the touring saddle on eBay.
Many people erroneously view the 650s along the same lines as the dodgy previous RE bikes - its as good anything comparable but at half the price.
Everyone who has seen my bike has been impressed and it even gets small crowds of other bikers and non-bikers who want to talk about it and share their own stories of Enfields - I never got that when I had a CB500.

Is anyone else struggling with t'internet this evening?
Everything is really slow on 3BB, AIS Broadband and AIS Mobile. I'm getting lots of 502 Cludflare errors too.
Has some genius at CAT screwed things up? Stuff like this used to happen regularly, but in the last decade or so its been OK.

Apparently the super intelligent professional people who work for the Thai Government think a pair of trousers are luxury items. Not that anyone at Udon Thani Post Office can be bothered to phone my wife to tell her to come and get screwed over.
[Insert profanity here]

My secretary spoke to the tax office today after being told by both Krung Thai and my bank, Kasikorn, that only Thai nationals can get the refund using the 3 methods shown on the letter.
The tax office said that cheques will no longer be issued, but another letter will be sent to foreign devils that will allow them to get their refunds.

I got my tax refund letter today and there is no cheque, only a bunch of options referencing KT Bank. I'll wander down there tomorrow and try to get some sense out of somebody.

On FB...I belong to Ford Everest Club Australia ...they really test them there ... Towing those house like things or rock climbing!! I haven't read any complaints about the 10-speed..opinion seems to be positive.
Pity the op couldn't photograph the article and get it transulated on a forum here instead of guess work...
I'll look later to see if any comments on Ford Forums Australia ...need to 'change' my location as Thailand is a banned address with them and I can't do that on my phone ...
Seems like the usual nonsense posted on ThaiVisa by people who don't have much of a clue about anything. Carry on...

It might be nothing, but there's a big plume of dark grey smoke coming from the direction of the airport. Is anyone close enough to see what it might be?
-
It'll probably arrive about the time Honda are replacing it in other markets and it'll have their 90's spec 1.8 or 2.4 engines, going on how Honda usually does things here.

Mercs are a dull looking as most Japanese cars.Wow I wonder how they can still make so ugly cars when it's so easy to make this
But looking as what japs do, maybe it's not so easy to build a decent looking car ?!

I did shoot off an email to Thai Customs Depts, not really expecting a reply, but they did reply with all the information I needed to know. Kudos & thanks to Ms Saowanee.
With reference to your enquiry, we will clarify you the specific regulation of customs procedure for the product that is sent oversea for repairing and bring it back to Thailand, it is called "Re-Importation".
- The item must be re-imported within 1 year from the date of export.
- The exporter name and importer name must be the same person/company.
1. Export clearance procedure and how to make Export Declaration:(You can study this matter at the Customs Notification No.132/2561 on page No.43)
- Export Tariff = 2Part4
- Privilege Code = 004
- Tariff Code = HS code of product 8 digits
- Declaration No = Reference number of the first Import Declaration Entry
- Declaration Line Number= Item number in the first Import Declaration.
- Re-Importation Certificate = Y
- Tariff Code and trade statistical code = HS code of product (8 digits) and trade statistical code (3 digits)
- Import Tariff = 2PART4
- Privilege Code = 000
- CIF = Repair Cost
- Reference Declaration Number = Reference number of Export Declaration
Importer must make a request in writing to a customs officer at the port of entry to clarified that the imported goods is the same one as those export under the ExportDeclaration before making an Import Declaration. If permitted the Import Declaration can be done.
If followed all the procedures above and the re-importation of repaired goods is not the new item. Then the duty will be calculated only on the repairing cost.
