Because I'll be graduating in a month and have to cancel the visa soon, I want to extend my stay as I look for jobs or prepare for the examinations required for the master's degree. The start date also would probably be months after I graduate.

Sorry, I meant to say that most language courses offered are for the Thai language. Courses in other languages like Japanese or Chinese are more expensive as I also need the visa. Although opting for those might be the preferable choice if I want to avoid such concerns.

May I know the fee for Japanese course?

Went in for my Non-O extension based on marriage yesterday, 8th year now. Pretty uneventful, only a few changes this time, they added 2 new officially printed off documents (one for wife - one for me) that we needed to sign right there, and they added two more documents to sign at the desk where they take my picture (one with my picture they took on it). They also handed back my yellow book copies, not sure why, as they required it every other year. My wife never did update our Kor-Ror 22 document, so we used the old one from 2016 for todays visit, no issues. My wife fought me on it, but then asked the Immigration Officer about this subject, his answer was that since my wife's surname was changed to mine, and reflected on her Thai ID as such, that an updated Kor-Ror 22 is not needed. My wife told me (not sure how true this is), but she says the reason the IO doesn't need the updated Kor-Ror 22 is because if we were divorced, she would be forced to update her Thai ID to go back to her maiden name. So basically if she had not changed her surname when we got married, we would have been required to update our Kor-Ror 22 every year, but in our case it's not needed. Also, the IO said nothing about my bank account balance, no warning on using the funds while under consideration, not a word.

We are usually well prepared, so sailed right through the process, there were a few upset foreigners in there though, one of which was actually screaming at one of the Immigration officers, they never learn! LOL

    Dear lordgrinz,

May I know u do the 90 days by mail or in present?

    If by mail,

We should send to room 203, right?

    Hi there,

Do you already have a TM30 receipt in your passport showing your condo address and assuming you previously reported you were the owner.

IF SO, I don't think you need to do anything.

Recently I got my very first TM30 as a condo owner occupant. (In person.)

They told me I will never need to do one again UNLESS I move.

I have finished tm30 in person in 2019 as co-owner for condo.

I have done my 90 days reporting this month in nonthaburi, no one request me to do tm30 again.

  4. I do 90 days reporting in nonthaburi office in August and no problem. I have TM 30 soft copy. May I know anyone have problem when renewing  the visa or do the 90 days reporting in above office?

I am the co-owner for the condo, my wife or me should be the one completing the form, any special information we need to input? (For re-registration)

    thanks a lot

Do people PAY witnesses? If they can't be friends or relatives what's their motivation to go through all the hassle?

Also, is there a site or a thread for people to report and track the varying location's requirements?

Yes, I paid. No discount for any relative or friend. One price only.

I have had funds (800k+) in Bangkok Bank for about 7-8 years. For 12 years I have been visiting for 3 months then return to the UK for 3 month (ish) and only applied for my retirement extension February last year. Copies of all the pages in my bank book presented to Nonthaburi Immigration; no question as to where the funds came from.

To me, Nonthaburi ImmD officals is reasonable and helpful.

    Perhaps the wrong question

Adding your wife to the account would make it a joint account.

You should have asked that you want your wife to have access to your accounts, but not named on the account. If your not specific, don't expect them to think and maybe suggest an alternative.

    Email content to bangkok bank

`I would like to know can I add my wife to my existing bangkok bank savings account as an 'existing user', somewhat different than a joint account. Her name will not appear on statements, letters, or Passbook that may be used for Immigration purposes.´

I don't think this option is available in Thailand's banks and I have read thousands of replies regarding this enquiry in this forum for many years now.

Reply from bangkok bank regarding adding wife to my existing a/c

    ~~

Regarding for your inquiry, please be informed that you cannot add your wife to your existing Bangkok bank savings account. May we recommend you open the new joint account.

In the event of death, if beneficiaries would like to close and receive fund from the deceased account, the heir need to contact the branch where the account was opened and submit documents required as follows:

    • Court Order appointing Estate Executor (if such court order is not granted in your jurisdiction, an official notification issued by authorities concerned identifying lawful heirs is acceptable)
    • Identification and Passport of the Estate Executor
    • Power of Attorney to act on behalf of the Estate Executor (if any) and Identification or Passport of the attorney-in-fact
    • Certificate of Death
    • Original concerned passbook

For all of mentioned documents above, it is highly crucial to certify every page of completely prepared document in front of Thai Embassy officer in your country together with notary public.

The bank will consider the received information. After the approval, we will issue a draft or cashier’s cheque to the Embassy for submitting to the heir or beneficiaries.  Any operating fee during send the fund will be deducted from the deceased account.
