  1. Most disgusting statement here is that there isn't enough evidence yet to forward to prosecutors.

Witnesses, video evidence, murder weapons seized, a mutilated corpse, threats to next of kin.. Jesus how much more evidence could possibly needed i wonder.

Seems almost no crime is off limits to cover up, or at least attempt to

Yes but let's not forget that 4 of those savage animals are cop kids and knowing the thai justice it would not be surprising to see the charges droped

  2. The most dangerous place to drive or even just walk is Phuket where the natives drivers are not only uncivilised but also stupid and nothing is done by the autorities to reduce excessive speed. And with a situation like this, they expect to attrack higher class tourists. Good luck...

Driving anywhere on anything in ''Thailand'' is a nightmare...

Well, up here in the rural areas of Phichit & P'Lok provinces, I must disagree. Driving here is a pleasure, no traffic jams, no road racers and generally courteous drivers. So no nightmares for me. I am sure some others in less populated areas will agree.

Sorry you can't paint all of Thailand with one large brush. Judging by the sheer scale of the destruction of those vehicles, I believe there was certainly excessive speeds involved.

It is certainly different in the more civilized parts like Bangkok & environs,, Pattaya, Hua Hin etc.

  3. This is a joke. 99B plus a small fine. They will leave the helmut home and continue driving at crasy speed. Instead of checking the helmet the police should check the speed which may cause casualties to others in case of accidents. Crossing Patak road or even just walking on it puts your life at risk. Educate the Phuket locals instead of just giving them a small fine

  4. Every day another foreigner is reported as dying in the south.

None of them seemed that old to me.

    Nearly all western men.

    What on earth is happening?

Nothing good is happening in Phuket and it's getting worst and worst every year. As soon as Myanmar opens up to tourism we'll see what happens to this place where locals don't give a DELETED about their tourists

  5. Under customary international law, passports are the property of the state which issued them In the case of a British passport, for example, the document belongs to the British government and not to the passport holder. The international case-law is clear - the impounding of a foreigner's passport is impermissible interference with the jurisdiction of the issuing State

Since when does the Tha police care about international law. Do they even know about them?
