There is a JT shop at the 4 Seasons Hotel and a new one at Central Festival. Not 100% sure the Central one is yet opened as it was only being built last I saw of it.  The 4 Seasons is definitley operating as I went there recently.

Arrested or ticketed....there is a big difference between arresting someone and giving them an infringement for no helmet or seatbelt.

As I indicated a friend and I were curious about this situation. Can I afford 2000B, yes. Would I want to waste it on not doing a 90 day report, no likely, Ican find better things to spend 2000B on.

Having read the above I am curious what happens if you leave after your 90 days without reporting but inside the 7 day period allowed ie: on day 93. It seems airport staff wouldn't care but what about ummugration once you return and do a 90 day report.

Actually I have been thinking the same, but to rent. I was told drive through the moo baans and look for the rental signs however some of them have quite strict security so how do you find what is available in these types of places.

Thanks for prompt reply. My visa is marked enter before a date in May 16as you mentionedm I will arrive as stated, June 15 and need to depart in September at the end of the first 90 day period. Am I correct in understanding you say if I then return to Thailand in say November they will stamp my passport with a 12 month departure date again irrespectuve that I activated the visa in June.

Firstly I apologise if this has been answered before, I did try searching and my head is now swimming with confusion.

So, I have received in Australia a Non Immigrant O A multi entry visa which will be activated when I arrive in June. My understanding is at this point my passport should be stamped with the expiry/departure date. I will also have to report to immigration every 90 days. My confusion is that I will be returning to Australia for a short period after the first 90 days period then returning Thailand. Is there a time limit to how long I can be out of Thailand and do I have to do anything to activate the multi entry side of the visa. I would hate to leave then when returning find the visa had been cancelled on my departure.
