From what I know of Thai girls, the bottom line is:
The Thai girl's reaction depends on if she likes his appearance or not.
I bet if she liked him (ie if in her eyes he was a "hansum maaaan"), regardless of what he did, she would probably not have made all that fuss LOL!

I truly feel sorry for Thais for having such a shi.t 'police' force.
I don't. They have what they deserve

“As for details, I’d prefer not to disclose them now, because it may make our work difficult, and it will alert other perpetrators in the same network.”
But we'll be sure to update you just as soon as we are privy to the foreign investigators whose help we reluctantly had to accept in the end, let us know what they've found next.
Anyone believing the Thais uncovered the terrorist cell all by their little selves is seriously deluded. What part/s of the usual multiple threads on this topic rightly pointing up the ineptitude of the local authorities did you miss
"Anyone believing the Thais uncovered the terrorist cell all by their little selves is seriously deluded"
=> Why? Do you know this as a fact?

The investigation will tell if this is the bomber.
But in any case the RTP did a good job today. Bravo.

What really filled me with confidence was when a BBC reporter goes to the explosion site and picks up bomb fragments consisting of pellets and a large piece which could have been part of the pipe. These were imbedded in a wall some 50 metres from the explosion. He took his findings to police headquarters and was challenged by 2 or 3 what looked like young boys in uniforms. He had his findings wrapped in cloth and unwrapped them and showed them to the young lads and explained that they were bomb fragments. They looked at him quizzically and at the parts and told him to come back later as there was no one there. Dah the lights are on but nobody is home. You would think that at the very least one of them would reach his hand out and take this possible crucial evidence. If they find the perpetrators it will be shear luck not outstanding police work.
This is exactly what i was thinking.
But this is so typical here. Not surprised at all.

So they want everyone else to follow their rules/customs/laws everywhere they are, even if they are a minority???
And what's next? 7/11 stores wont be allowed to sell bacon & pork sausages in the "vicinity" of mosques?

I can't believe what I am reading. Thailand is going to spend 36 billion baht on submarines
There is no hope...
-
Although Thailand’s navy has maintained a submarine division, it has lacked a single vessel for the last 63 years.
Nothing wrong with this.
Thailand also has an aircraft carrier with no aircraft

I hope the British graduates don't go back too disillusioned after their mission.

Thailand is paradise? I think you need to adjust the drugs and booze. Thailand was never paradise.
And paradise costs more than the bar fine of a thai hooker.
That's why there are only a percentage of us out of the total world population here in paradise.
if you find the right bargirl it can be pretty close to paradise :-)

Lets hope the farmers catch a break as the governments sure as hell aint going to help these poor battlers.
well the government will need the money for the multi trillion high speed rail project
-
What???!
It is as if Europe started putting road signs in arabic
thais really dont see the bigger picture of things. They really dont have a clue
-
A picture worth a thousand words indeed.
The photo screams a total lack of empathy from the 2 thais
For having been here 15+ years, this is what would most probably happen to you if you were involved in a similar situation.
(in case the other driver does not flee the scene...)

Nowadays whenever somebody dares to say somehting negative about gay people it is discrimination, it is homophobia, etc... it never ends.
In this politically correct society you are only allowed to say good things about them.

"According to the officials, a 3 baht hike of excise tax on LPG is the transport sector would raise price LPG fuel to 17 baht per liter which is still lower than prices of other types benzene, gasohol and diesel which are at nearly 30 baht per liter."
But they did not factor the cost of converting a car to LPG, which is >30k baht!
Converting your car to LPG is worth it if the price of LPG is around 11-13 baht / L but at 17 baht (and I bet it will increase later on), LPG is no more an option.

The best way to deal with taxis refusing passengers is to increase the fare + modify the fare structure
It has been like this forever, while the cost of living in Bangkok has changed a lot
I often get rejected by taxi drivers but I understand them.
Why would they want to drive tens of kilometers in the traffic for a few bahts? They are losing money!

"He said he drank at a bar with a Thai man"
I don't get it. Why would he drink with a thai man?

The overpricing is taking ridiculous proportions in private hospitals.
The entire system is designed to extract the maximum amount of money from the patient/customer.
It is just as if they were testing how far they can go. How expensive they can charge, until one day the system breaks down. It is all about greed.

So what do you think is going to change..
in 2 weeks this incident will be fogotten
And in 10 years from now you can be sure that elephans will still be exploited that way.
here nothing ever changes. And certainly not cruelty against animals

This is disgusting.
There are hundreds of resorts built illegally in national parks in Thailand and forest/protected areas.
And their owners know that even if caught, they wouldnt spend a single day in a Thai prison. This is a fact.
-
Unfortunately any woman can be criminally abused and continually are, but being married to a Thai woman since 1971, I can unequivocally a emphatically guarantee all and sundry that they can never be lured into anything unwillingly.
Excellent post. could not agree more :-)

I find her mugshot photo more sexy and sultry than the bikini photo.
Typical foreigner...loves the cracked out, broke, destitute, 3am Soi Nana look
Well most have to keep their expectations low, so the 3 am So Nana look is most likely the best they will ever get, or their wallets can handle
I really prefer her mugshot photo
-
she looks better on the police mug shot than in her miss earth dress

650,000 tons of stockpiled rice declared rotten
What a huge mess. The PTP leaders should be held accountable for this. the thai people who voted for them really got the leaders they deserved.
Funny that even today, this political party run by crooks and liars still has some supporters. Unbelieveable.
Tolerance is a crime when applied to evil. Prayudh had to step in
I love Pattaya because...

i love pattaya because of the bargirls.
Also the seaside is a plus
and of course all the convenience 24/7 (restaurants, etc...)
It is a unique place.
Too bad there are so many of these horrible chinese tourists now
