Love the title... "sparks outrage". Among whom I wonder? From what I can see, absolutely nothing in Thailand can spark outrage. 

What a short-sighted and desperate tactic to boost the economy by the prime minister that no one elected. More criminal elements might enter, but no problem, the system here completely supports it.

Calling them evil-hearted senators is far too respectful. I would choose much harsher words for those who will deliberately ignore and obstruct the will of the people just so they can continue reaping the benefits of their positions.

Foreigners like this who treat Thailand like a dingy brothel deserve to be screwed. It's pathetic how some men simply cannot see the difference between normal Thai women and Thai prostitutes/ bar girls.  We don't call prostitutes in Australia, Aussie women, we call them prostitutes. Why refer to Thai women when you're clearly talking about prostitutes and bar girls? Every country has easy girls you can pay for. Refer to them correctly instead of trashing and demeaning "Thai women".

This bully is an idiot and should be thrown out of Thailand. It's bad enough that we don't need dickheads like this creating a bad reputation for foreigners.

My Thai wife and I are considering bringing two children from our village to Australia so we can provide care, education, etc for them. One of the children belongs to my wife's sister and the other belongs to a close friend. They are both quite poor and cannot give their kids the opportunities we can offer. My wife and I don't have children of our own, but we do not wish to adopt either. We simply want to look after these two kids and provide a good life for them. Any advice, recommendations or valid information would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

I'm renovating a house in a village near ChumPhae. The ground floor has been completly demolished, removed and straightened. The only thing that remains is the upper level, which is standing on 8 pillars (roughly 2.3 metres off the ground). I need the ground floor built. I have the layout plans, which consists of one large bedroom and ensuite, combined kitchen/dining/living area plus one bathroom (see attached image).
