  1. Hi,

Would be grateful if any members can recommend a good company/companies for the above.

Am 58 year old Brit, residing in Thailand and wanting a reputable company that offers private hospital treatment.

I understand there are many options of cover available which I will decide which one suits me best.

Just that I have seen many advertised who all seem much of a muchness hence my request for a fellow member's recommendation.

    Many thanks

I still need not flap until 2020, given this years extn is 'in the bag' as a result of a 'pension letter' purchased just before their cut off date in December ????

So existing extensions and their associated 90 day reporting are exempt of these new intended rule changes until they get renewed the next time?

  3. Would this work?

So, you have the required 800K in the bank for the required period (2 or 3 months whatever it may be) before your retirement application.

Every 90 days you do not go to immigration, you fly off to HK/SG, wherever for a weekend.

Upon arrival back in to Thailand you are stamped in for 90 days.

90 days later repeat the above for as many times necessary throughout your 1 year's retirement extension.

Upon your new retirement application 1 year later, as it's a new application, it's just the required 800k in the bank needed to be shown for the required period before application.

  4. Hi OP,

Hopefully this will be deemed a 'proper answer'.

From previous (painful) experience the trip's itinerary does become one of their considerations for the monies available/required for the trip.

My only suggestion is to, within reason, provide detailed information of your intended itinerary.

So, if you are staying with friends or family while there get them to send you a mail confirming their pleasure at having you and your lovely wife staying with them between whatever dates they are and supply it with application.

Pain in the arse maybe but it does not allow them to assume expenses that don't exist and in turn refuse your application on their wrongful assumptions.

Hope that helps & enjoy the trip !

  5. Can't see this guy gracing Australian shores anytime soon, if ever at all.

It appears the Australian authorities may know a lot more about the guy than they are letting on.

Just 1 word on this article gives that away, ".......................... Mr Lawrence was one of several senior Rebels who flew to Bangkok on February 8............................"

Also, 2 of the party he flew with were denied entry to Thailand & were sent back due to 'paperwork' provided by the Australian authorities.

All will soon be revealed but it's safe to say he did not ride at the back of the gang cleaning visors at petrol stops.

  6. Simple, just ask to see the messages sent and received between her and her ex.

After all it's not that uncommon for some ex partners to swap the occasional message once or twice a year, HBD etc & there is no real harm in them being sent or received.

If she refuses move on, and quick !

If she has nothing to hide about her current relationship status with him what harm is there?

However, my hunch is she will never be prepared to do it so from that you can already see she's not being honest with you.

As the saying goes, "Oh well, never mind, who's next"

  7. LIVE UPDATE.............BREAKING NEWS

After receiving the relevant agencies' feedback on the reportedly high prices being charged at Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports, following complaints by passengers, there is now an Interpol yellow warning in place against those that complained.

Airport staff and anyone employed within the airport buildings must now report anyone who dares to pass an opinion.

A reward of 50 Baht will be received by anyone who reports such unacceptable behavior.

  8. Surely he has better things to concern himself with?

    If not.......

    Dear PM,

At Big C Rama 4 I have noticed that their 65 gram packets of Lays are always 1 or 2 Baht more expensive than the same packets on sale at Tesco Lotus Rama 4.

I await the result of your agencies' investigations with favorable anticipation.

Lastly, like you, I am confused as to why a privately owned company have the audacity to charge their own prices, shame on them

    Yours sincerely

    Mr Dee

did mine at Trendy in March 2016 and had it back in less than 2 weeks

**i reckon you can be sure to have it back in less than 3 weeks. Most friends that have done it recently have all said about 2 weeks but see what others say who've done it more recently themselves to be sure

    Similar.

Did mine early August at Trendy, was back before the end of the month

So, I agree, allow 3 weeks, more than enough time

  10. I think Red Horse is a nice beer

As a long time Chang drinker it's a welcome change as I never really enjoyed Singha, Leo or Tiger

49 Baht for a 640ml bottle in Tops at 6% is very reasonable too

I can see it gaining in popularity very quickly over here
