Thai Ways and More Thai Ways, sorry I can't remember the author but worth a read.

I agree with Sheryl, I went through the whole polaver a few years ago, two visits to get the doctors letter correctly worded for immigration while I was in hospital with photographs of myself in bed after surgery.

My son is also 13, he has British and Thai passports. Both passports were obtained in the Uk without any problems. If you have his birth certificates, one British, one Thai I don't see a problem. For the British passport I believe all you will need is the birth certificate, photographs, correctly filled out application and money.
My son's passport expires soon and I believe my wife can do this in Bangkok so no big deal.
Best of luck.

Just copy the documents required and sign them yourself, don't forget the required photographs and fee.

It's not a lot of fun, I have to use a frame around the house and a tripod stick for outings. If I'm lucky I get taken shopping every 8 to 10 days.
I live alone, haven't been upstairs for about 2 years, I have my television, I cook or sit outside and watch the world go by. Things like my shower and bedroom have been modified for my requirements.
For your information I had two strokes then a hip replacement op with complications. No reason to go back to the UK, this is my home.

Same as Colinniel, no problems at all, had it now for over 10years.

Do people not look at their passports after they get stamped - you must report/leave on or before the date stamped.

I'll brush this post off, sorry, I get mine sent from the UK as and when required.

Although I don't use a wheelchair I have similar problems, I always use the same guy/taxi to take me across. He is very helpful and at times ott, he will wait, help and take you to your destination. Yes it's going to cost you, maybe 1,200, last time I applied for a visa he waited outside the embassy for two hours while my wife sorted out the paperwork. Engine left running, Aircon on I didn't even put in an appearance. All sorted went to hotel and he collected us the next day. He uses a Toyota pickup truck so plenty of room in the back for a wheelchair. Best of luck.

Agree with AlQaholic, my wife purchased one and ended up giving it away.

Daosavanh my choice, not cheap and not near the town. Has a pool and I find it comfortable and clean.

Eliotness, what's your budget, plenty of horrible cheap places and a few good ones.

Email address, bank account number, not information I'm prepared to hand out. What if you have internet banking facilities, sure wouldn't feel safe to me.

When you apply for the birth certificate the baby will be registered as British. That's what happened in my circumstances.

Lawyer, why make life so difficult for yourself. It's an easy process.

Brewsterbudgen, She had ILR until all the necessary hoops had been jumped through, then British citizenship, passport etc.
She now travels country to country without problems.

As stated earlier my son was born in the UK. He has a British and Thai passport. If you now have to pay in the UK for NHS treatment then this is new to me. Everything was free and without problems.
-
My son was born in the UK, don't see the problem, yes I am married to a Thai, my wife was registered with a doctor in England.
We were married in Thailand and never had to prove anything to the NHS, I hardly think they would turn you away in your hour of need.

Thanks for the reply. Just thought as the dates were so close they (Immigration) could get funny.

My Visa expires on April 6th, my 90 day border run expires this Saturday 26th, do you think I could squeeze another 90 day's out of the Visa or would this be considered taking the mick.
I will be using the Mukdahan route as I don't live far away.

Nice lee, thanks, good news as I have a jumbo British passport.

I could be wrong but I thought you needed every page of your passport copied even the blank one's. I go next Thursday so am interested in the replies.

Buy that book you always wanted to read, try cooking every day, catch up on all the latest Donald Trump news, clean the place you live in, get enough beer or whatever you like, buy a barbecue and lay back, enjoy and watch the world go past.
That's what I'm doing.

louse 1953, get your point but I can't walk unaided, getting up and down high curbs is a nightmare. As I have said a few times it suites me just fine. The bus service is a joke even for a fit person, I've done it many times.
My choice of hotel is personal and good for me, the original poster asked for the best and safest, this meets his criteria but I understand he will be staying else ware.
Is that a problem for you? Yes I have an opinion and was offering my experience.

There was a short news article today/this morning on CNN about this problem.
Someone with brains has come up with the solution, the product is 100% biodegradable, comes from the natural waste of a food source.
Sorry I can't for the life of me think of the name of the company or the name of the waste produce.
At least it's a step in the right direction.
