Just use add on packages when you run out of high speed data: On Top Packages
-
DTAC Sims tourist sims now use pooling numbers, i.e. no number is printed on the package. You get your number via SMS only when it's activated. True and AIS don't do this as I know, so best to start with either of them.
-
Most of these users are overseas users, thus even if they are aware, it can be hard to register.
-
We've noticed a fair number of users on our system no longer able to get credit sent to their phone. Upon further inspection it is because of the SIM registration issue. If you are having trouble adding credit, dial *151# to see if you are registered or not.
-
No matter what package you get, you can use add on packages, that go on top of your existing 3G / 4G package and give you additional high speed data. Great since you can just use as needed, and don't need to switch plans.
-
If you run out of high speed data, you can always use an on top package for True that gives you extra high speed data without having to change your existing package.
-
If you burn up all of your high speed data you can use these add on packages for AIS to add more high speed usage.
-
The SIM you buy usually does not matter, you can change to any promotion you wish or add any data plan you want.
-
Had a great experience here: http://www.unlimitmac.com/ Only go to Mac Fortune if you are under warranty. Otherwise they charge you triple what Unlimitmac charges.
-
Nice, but should grab a speed test to Singapore or HK.

I'll take a coupon.

With that out of the way, lets get back to the task of finding out if it's just Emporium that has fast AIS Super wifi, or is AIS super Wifi fast everywhere? Post your result.
-
so you get 100mbis from you to the AIS server, great but how does that help with anything not on the AIS server i.e. google, facebook etc ..
Note the server in the second screenshot is Starhub, meaning traffic is from AIS to servers in Singapore, distributed home to the types of services you mention.
-
If you're looking to for a way to upload your lifetime cache of photos and videos to the cloud, you may want to look into using AIS Super Wifi. Here's some speed test results taken at Emporium and Emquartier:
Within Thailand:
To Singapore:
100 Mbps down and 83 Mbps up. Wow.
What speeds have you gotten on AIS Super Wifi?
-
That is calls to any domestic phone number - 150 minutes worth. Seems like on this page it says - Excess Fee Package: Call 1.25 baht / minute, SMS 2 baht / text, MMS 5 baht / session. Your sim will get 30 days of validity after each top up. Seems like you can do multiple topup ups to get that validity up to a year. Online topups are here.
-
So why waste our time making phone calls and making appointments for something that don't exist.
Bunch of clueless idiots
@Lite Beer Sorry to hear that. Any other fiber providers in your area?
-
@billd766 Have you tried AIS eService login? You'll need to get the OTP sms to login.
-
Right now I'd suggest get AIS 12call - they have a 3 month, triple speed promo. For example: With AIS 12Call, for 748 Baht/ month you get first 3 months with 9GB of 3G and free AIS wifi. (After 3 months it drops to 3GB per month, but hey, just cancel or don't topup)
How to do it:- You need any AIS 12Call sim (can be a tourist SIM)
- Press *121# to check your balance. You need at least 748 Baht. ( You can get credit here )
- Dial this USSD code on the SIM to sign up for 9GB monthly 3G package:
*777*993*316358#
(You'll get an sms if it worked and your balance will be deducted.) - Dial *338# to get your Wifi password.
As for calling credit, if you don't make that many calls, the basic package should be fine.
Is MBK good place to buy Smartphone?

MBK is fine, but why not check the phone prices online first.
