BKK is getting more upscale as well. I like that. I can't afford some of the high end establishments in my home state of Hawaii, but I can in BKK when I visit now.

Good for you! Two years ago today, I finally moved back to the states after 3 years of retirement in Bangkok. Best move I ever made! I have complete medical care with Medicare and a supplement. I still visit 2-3 times a year as a tourist. After a couple weeks in BKK I am ready to leave. I am a much happier person visiting as a tourist than as an expat.

She has moved on and now you should as well. People do this because there was never any real investment in the "relationship." I've even done it to a few Thai ladies once I moved back to my country. Blocked them from Line, Facebook and all email. Forget internet relationships. Not going to work.

We still have Hanrahans on soi 4 in Nana. Good Irish bar/restaurant. Good food and plenty of tv sets for sports.

Isn't it 500 baht a day 'fine'? Or is there a maximum negotiable?
I believe it is max. 20,000 baht.

The Kiwi is now next to the On 8 hotel on that sub soi.

Thank you Jackdd.

I think I know the answer but want to confirm. I want to extend my 30-day visa exempt for another 30 days at CW in Bangkok. I believe I need to file out TM 7, correct?

Welcome Ron to the Kingdom. Enjoy yourself and glad you made the leap. I saw you on Johnny's channel last week. Cheers!

Did I watch it? Oh hell no.

If you live in Bangkok, go to Foodland on Sukhumvit soi 5. Their parosols are sturdy and costs 250 baht.

So, I guess we are talking about CM immigration, right? Because it was never stated.

I've used my chrome browser (chromebook) for 3 years in dealing with the US embassy in Bangkok and never had a problem making an appointment.

If you live there, take a break from Thailand for 4 or 5 days and let the nonsense pass. I don't care what the viewers of this site say about trashing this holiday. It's turned into an aggressive water fight. Period!!! I am too old for this blood sport.

I am now in the states, so I am watching all of it. But if I was in the Nana area (Bangkok) where I usually stay, I would be watching it at Hanrahan's restaurant/bar on soi 4. The place has at least 6 or 7 TVs, and one or two outside. They always have the latest sports on. The food is also good. A place you can use as a refuge from all the beer bars/bar girls that dot the soi. It's directly across from Hilary 2. Tiger is at +1 and in 29th place after the first round.

I hate Songkran. I usually fly out of the country for 3-4 days until the coast is clear. I flew back to states last week, and won't return until May. Even did my income taxes.

Saw him a few times on soi 4 Nana. Clearly mental health issues. I also saw him eating inside a restaurant on Sukhumvit with the water bottle balanced on his head. These kinds of guys come and go. I never saw anyone give him money, so work permit probably not an issue. He's harmless but very sad I think.

I usually go back to my home country starting late March for about 3 weeks until the coast is clear. Hate Songkran.

Run Forrest run. Go back to your country and don't tell anyone. Don't look back. And stay the hell out of Thailand forever. You don't need it. Oh yeah, don't get married again.

These morons who smoke in restaurants should be kicked out and fined. How rude. If you smoke stop. And if you do smoke, then do it outside of eating establishments and away from children and the elderly. Period.

The moral of the Op's story is: Maybe time to quit his filthy habit. I would have thrown his arse in Jail for a few days.

SURVEY: Trump -- Will his presidency end soon?
in World News

Trump is toast. Once he loses re-election in 2020, he will be indited and face criminal charges. People of America are finally waking up to this idiot. Bad things happen to bad people. Trumps lies starting to catch up to him. Even his own attorneys told Robert Mueller that Trump is "incapable of telling the truth."
