That's because NatWest are ripping you on the exchange rate. Wake up!
I Would be an idiot to get Nat West todo the exchange, I send the money in Sterling and Kasikorn do the exchange. Normally get about 0.2 below the quoted rate on XE.
-
I transfer direct from my Nat West account to my Kasikorn without any problems.
Kasikorn never charge me anything and Nat West is free unless I want same day transfer when it costs £15.

The OP was at fault - no doubt.
As for flashing headlights - it means different things in different countries. Only in the UK does it mean 'I'm yielding to you'
In most countries its a warning 'I'm coming through'
In the UK flashing your lights does not mean I am yielding to you it means “I am here” but many people use it incorrectly.
Rule 110 of the UK Highway Code states: “Only flash your headlights to let other road users know that you are there. “Do not flash your headlights to convey any other message or intimidate other road users.”

If only 1 parent can attend then your wife needs to get a Kor ror 14 from the local Ampur. There are several reasons they can issue the form and you not being in the country would be one of them.
Then 1 parent takes the child along to the passport office with their old passport, ID card, blue housebook and the Kor ror 14 form.
My wife has just done this and renewed daughter’s passport in Phuket. They will only issue a 5 year passport and not the new 10 year passport as she is not an adult.

This links to the Gov PR page where they list all the hospitals.

I order mine from purple parrot foods in Ban Chang. They are about 10 baht each and excellent.

I have True postpaid, didn’t ask for a work permit.

No they are not available in Krabi yet.
Many locals registered at the local private hospital in June for Moderna vaccine and paid for their vaccines in advance.
They are due October-January.
The second wave of registrations made in July are for vaccination in April-June.

Is that a fact? Do you know anyone who tried to cross?
Yes and yes.
But I also know someone who wasn’t stopped.

Krabi has a few premium and artisan food shops and deli’s already.
a Topps or Villa supermarket would be nice but I don’t think there are enough customers for them.

As of the 29th you will need to be vaccinated and have negative Covid test to enter Krabi as well.

That sounds like it could be my local immigration office.
I have never been double charged in 10 years, possibly a genuine mistake or a special VIP service.- 1

Even if arriving by car?
Yes, everyone, plane, car, train, bicycle doesn’t matter. However it is an honour system and some people have been ignorant enough to ignore the rules.

14 days local quarantine Or negative RT-PCR test with 72 hours Or 2 shots of vaccine.

In Krabi you early registered at your local health centre which was available for about 10 days.
now the list is full and if you missed the boat you have to wait for the next round of registrations after the 7th June. -
Although Phuket is now orange it is still a requirement to do 14 days quarantine if you go to Krabi. Or you can have a negative PCR test within 72 hours or 2 shots of an approved vaccine.
It would be the same if you returned to Phuket.

Land prices are ridiculous in Krabi I think some people believe there is gold in the ground.
Currently there is land in Nong Thale (near Krabi international school) at 3.5 million per Rai.
Chon Plee 1.5 million for just over 1/4 Rai

My Speeding fine had a barcode on it. I scanned that with my banking app and paid that way. Super easy.

60k
negligible money at the Amphur for the legal paperwork.
wedding party for 60 people with food 25k (500 pp, kids free)
drinks for wedding party 15k
we bought the drinks from Makro and were charged 2k total corkage
2 hand made gold wedding bands 15k
dress hire, invitations and wedding photos 3k.
then we were given 50k in cash instead of wedding gifts from friends and relatives who attended.
so actual cost to us was 10k

Our water standing charge is 43 baht. I think the cost depends on your water supplier.
My friend has 2 water meters and 2 separate suppliers in the same house.
