Maybe that's it, we're going to have a global pandemic that'll kill off 50-100 million before this thing subsides. We think we're smart and can make vaccines and stop it, but the virus is smarter and mutates and we're always several steps behind. Perhaps we're just delaying the inevitable. This thing ain't stopping until it's had its fill of death. Just a thought.

We are having a pandemic, Grain; but not sure how many will die or be debilitated after they have caught covid 19. Your glass looks half empty mate. Chris ????????

    Yes its with us indefinitely.

The realistic goal at this point is for it to become like seasonal flu. Predictably kills lots of people but doesn't destroy the way of life for others.

Up there with some of your best posts Jing. Let the scientists do the work mate.????

  3. People are scared because of the lack of truth being said of the vaccine's and the effect they are having in the community. I have a low immune system at 63. I got the jab and getting 2nd one next Wednesday. I had very bad side effects that put me in bed; went to the local hospital, they put me in a hallway for 9hrs with red paint around the wall and hot spot written. Could not get a straight answer from them. Treated like cockroach <deleted>. Had to challenge them when blood sugars were dropping. Developed debilitating pain, asked for Endone which I am prescribed by GP and given Panadol. I asked what do you want me to do with those? Now I went to hospital saying I am having a reaction to being immunised against covid 19. Then asked symptoms. Do you know what they put on my discharge form. Suffering with Headache. This hospital is supposed to be good but didn't want to tell the truth? You tell 1 and they tell 10. This is what happens so people get scared. I can't even get my wife to get vaccinated! She is in a panic for her mum back in Thailand. We got rid of the Spanish flu but had to kill 50 million? or there abouts. I am scared what the virus will do to my body so I got it done. Chris.????

Very true......but it does feel like you are selling your soul to the devil at times.....

China's long march through UK industry - which until recently attracted stunningly little scrutiny - is a symptom of Britain's broken economic model. As this week's NS leader notes: "No other major Western country has allowed so many of its strategic industries, assets and pre-eminent companies to fall into foreign ownership".

Look at history. I was a registered Real Estate Valuer with an interest in the past. 9/10 its the off shore buyer that buys develops and sells in their property in hard times. That's when opportunity comes the local way. My first boss was worth about $10 million; 10 years later he was worth $250 million. I have met a few like that.

  5. I think the recent spat of various virus's from 200 to now or there about's show's how a country relying on the tourist trade can be volatile to the economy. The one thing with land or buildings is that they are in-situ. You can't take them with you. In Sydney OZ 1960's saw 70% or there about of the CDB office buildings in foreign hands. It got down to about 10% in the late 1980's and was fueled by world global events where other countries had to sell and sell at low prices. This is also similar on the Gold Coast. I remember one fellow tell me a client said sell 6 units; it was a fire sale due to money problems in another country. Land title is not a sacred cow. It can inject money into the economy. Just my thoughts. Chris

  6. Unfortunately TV is getting like the Daily Mirror/Bangkok Jack; it has to sell space to keep going. If that is where your head is at well keep reading. I do think the mods have a duty of care with some articles. When u see 127 pages of dribble because a guy is dying due to lack of insurance well make your own mind up.

I would imagine there are a few TV members trying to remember where the car keys are at the moment. It goes down hill from there. Pointing the finger always gets 3 coming back at you.

Happy to hear an alternative has been found for the lady.
