Assuming it's an application for a Child passport renewal, then yes you can do it,

Bear in mind that you will need to submit/surrender the child's previous passport and recent photos, of course.

    Hi Mancub,

Thanks for your reply, just to clarify it is for a Child passport my son lives in Thailand but I will applying to renew his passport from the UK, will this be possible. My I ask if you have done this yourself or no someone who as actually done this.

He lives in Thailand with my wife, First passport was issued in Bangkok, so can anyone tell me if I have to renew his passport when next visit Thailand or can I renew it from UK. Have look on the government website but can't find any thing to answer my question.

  3. Just came back from samui last week myself British, my wife two stepsons Thai, and our son half English half thai, the taxi driver thought he was being clever when he tried ripping us off over the tickets for the ferry, the wife phone the taxi operator and make them send him back, he said it was a mistake the wife was having none of it she marched him to the ticket office and made him buy her another ticket, the guy had absolutely no shame, if he dose that to a thai citizen what has he been up to when it's taxi full of foreigners, personally I would have dropped him but the wife wouldn't let me.

  4. Hi I am a British national who as been married to a thai national for nearly three years. We applyed for a visit visa for my wife to visit england and was refused. Now on the reasons for being refused which was sent back with all her passport it refers to me as her boyfriend and not her husband as was put in the application along with supporting documents, ie- marriage certificate and my wife's change of name certificate. What I am trying to find is a number or email address where I can make a challenge to the decision as they have obviously made a mistake and mixed up the fact that I am her husband and not her boyfriend, any help much appreciated.

If you apply in Thailand it should only take around 2-3 weeks. You submit the application, photos, supporting documents for the child, you and your wife at the passport offices at The Trendy on Sukhumvit soi 13.

Sent from my SM-G930F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

Can you also tell me if my son has to be a British citizen before I can apply for a passport, thanks

There is an organization in Pattaya

who advertise on this site run by a guy called Daryl who is from the U.K. Who will do it for you and avoids you having to visit Bangkok to lodge the documents and pick up the passport

They know the requirements and service is good

Hi StevieAus thanks for the reply to my post, would you have a email or phone number for the guy you say you used thanks

  8. Hi all,

Could some one tell me what paper work is needed, what's the procedure and how long will it take to apply and receive a British passport for my 17 month old son, I have looked on the British Embassy website but can't find the exact information I wanted.

I am a British national living and working in England, my wife is a Thai National living in Thailand, my son was born in Thailand and is living with my wife, I will be back in Thailand June this year and wanted some idea as to how long it takes, thanks

  9. Hi Singerman, Thanks for your reply, when I looked at the template on the embassy website is says- "A Marriage is to be solemnised between me and Mali Jaidee of 123 Wireless Road,Pathumwan,Bangkok 1033,Thailand a Thai National at Bangkok in May 2014" so this to me reads as they are getting married In Bangkok in may2014, so you are saying I do not need to put place of marriage down and it will still be accepted and by the embassy and the Amphur Office,

  10. Hi sorry if this is in the wrong section but here go's anyway, am travelling to Bangkok mid March and am going to get Affirmation of Marital Status from British Embassy, was trying to find out if you can just name the City of the Amphur Office is at which we intend to register the marriage ie-(Undon Thani 21st March), or do I need to put the full address of the office at Undon. Also do I have to put the exact date,or could I just put the month down on the affirmation, Thanks any information would be much appreciated.
