  1. 300-500 baht? I was insane to leave Th for 1 minute! just a shop. No special stuff? Wow. Install. not download. Thank you.
  2. I wasn't clear. I bought Windows 10; I own it in disk form A computer tech suggested I purchase it and Office. I'm not a computer tech, so I wondered if a shop in Ch Mai could download these programs for me? I don't think a Dell place would be interested because it has Linux OS now, not what it started with I found several places in the US who were happy to do the downloads, but I thought Ch Mai would be a better place; spend money locally. Maybe I should get it done in the States? Prices range from $125-175. I hope this makes more sense.
  3. I have a Dell Latitude laptop & want to download Windows 10 (with key/license from Microsoft) & Microsoft Office Professional Plus (2021) also from Microsoft, with license/key, unopened. Suggestions for a computer shop? I'm close to what was Kad Kuan Saew mall on Huay Kaew Road. Thanks!
  4. Hello, Not sure where I'll settle this time. Never got health insurance before, so need guidance. BTW am a Yank , got my visa lined up, must use my small income carefully. Thanks!
  5. If you're a senior citizen you can. You still can if you're an adult but it's not as easy. I wentbefore the rule change to the place I'd gone before & it was fine. If the rules say they cant they'll look up your records etc.& IMO you'll get it.
  6. That's the point: like others, I might need to stay a long time. The stats are that it's already warming. Planning will be crucial. Thanks for your comments.
  7. there are externals that jump in unexpectedly that can be a challenge. Like the businesses ouside Wororot Market that flooded so badly 2-3 yrs ago. They lost all their stock, everything. They did keep cheerful, but a person does wonder how if in their shoes they'd cope losing everything?
  8. It was a wonderful place for me 20 years ago, Thanks for your opinion. What makes it awful for you?
  9. Thanks for your elitist opinion. I lived in Th before, it flooded but this looks worse. Hoped for some specifics. Nice & safe? You should read the news. Good luck keeping your head in the sand.
  10. The only vaccine I'm worried about losing is polio. I remember the kids in leg braces, the sugar cubes that freed us from that fear. It does return, you know, without vaccination...Maybe if parents could decide individually if their children would be vaccinated for polio?
  11. Plus heat waves when the rain stops. I'd like to return, but the news makes it look dangerous! What's your opinion? Thanks!
  12. Still inexpensive, with nice womens cotton dresses, fresh produce, pharmacies? Thanks.
  13. Hello, or a Tops anywhere in Chiang Mai? Thanks.
