  1. I used weekly 10 litter raw milk from nearby milk processing fabric.  I used it for making kefir, butter from cream and occasinally quark. Never had any problems. The cultures of Kefir grains kill bad bacteria in competition with milk cultures.

  2. Hi , i am using W 11  from last year from w 10 and I noticed quite a few differences. As I am using MS SQL Server and Visual Studio 19 and 22, w 11 is unavoidable. Visual Studio 22 is now 64 bit ( I had problem running it on w10 for some reason and since W11 no problems at all). Also the new Office is runing better on W11. I agree with multi screen performance. Big trouble for me with w10 for running multi monitors with different resolutions despite having a good graphic card.

Where do you think you can get the Moderna?  I was looking at either Moderna or Pfizer as my second jab but can not find anywhere to do the second dose as having had the first of AZ in June, I can not register at MedPark hospital again for Pfizer as I am scheduled for my second AZ jab there in September.  I wonder if there will be a way by then to ask them to change the AZ to Pfizer, but then I am not sure they will as many of the Pfizer jabs are going as boosters to medical staff.

I registered and paid in advance for the Moderna, last week I've got a SMS to confirm it and wait for appointment in October while at the same time others got a SMS that they cannot have it and they will get a refund of the money.

  4. OP, I use to buy fresh yeast in Foodland the past 3 years, unfortunately they close down the bakeries in Foodland about a month ago. I am still baking my bread every 2 - 3 days. Use only sourdough made my self and keep it in a fridge. My sourdough is now 3 years old. Feed it once a week and is very active because of the wild yeast in it. I use instant yeast only for cakes.

  5. I sent my application beginning of December 2020 with all original docs incl. Birth certificate( from Slovakia, I was born there) with legalized translation and few divorce certificates. After 4 weeks I received all the certificates back in Thailand. 1 week after my Birthday (24th January) I received 35 pounds on my UK bank account and 2 days ago I received the rest of the pension (23 years NI).

I have to say it worked out excellent.

  6. I too have adopted 2 kittens 2 years ago and they become mothers  of 2 and 3 kittens. We wanted a good home for them and my GF asked a Thai man in the village. He promised to take them to his friend who has a farm and people will take care of them. Now I believe he kill them all or let them go in the sugar-cane field. I am devastated. More likely they starved to death there.

  7. Hi ThaiPauly. If your wife's MRI shows a clear disc prolaps with nerve compression than your wife needs to see a neurosurgeon who would perform the operation. They are different operation techniques. From dorsal (back) with hemilaminectomie and discectomie or from ventral (front of neck) in that case ususally the disc space will be filled with piece of bone taken from pelvic bone.  All sounds dangerous but anything else is more dangerous

because the prolapsed disc can move and compress the spinal cord.

  8. Thai Embassy London:

    • Non-Immigrant Type (Retirement (pensioner aged 50 or above with a state pension who wants to stay in Thailand for no longer than 90 days) - single entry only)
    •
    • Financial evidence e.g. A copy of pension statement if the applicant is a pensioner, or a copy of 1-month bank statement showing your income from pension, or 3-month bank statement of at least £10,000
    • Confirmation of legal residence in the UK or Ireland

So having 10K in the Bank instead of pension income.

I am really wondering where the immigration officers that say it applies to those on extensions are reading or getting their info.

Studied the memos in the police order announcement again and noted this in the first one in English.

    image.png.6661240edd139b0abea860fa60da3513.png

That appears to say it does not apply to a extension of stay for a OA visa entry.

Joe this refers to permission of stay after one year visa not extension of stay. IMO. The granted length of stay is the second year after visa expires.

  10. This is how I read and understand the new police order:

The police order amended the criteria of Consideration for granting the extension of stay. They added a new criteria which requires insurance if an applicant has been granted an OA visa (whenever). (6)  "it does not say only after 31.10.2019'

My understanding is unfortunately. we all, who came whenever with OA visa  and applying for extension of the permission to stay, the new amendment applies after 31.10.2019.

The last part of the order is dealing with the criteria of consideration for permission of stay after one year entering with OA.

Me personally am due for extension end of May 2020 and considering to leave Thailand and live in Europe. The money required in the Bank I can use in Europe somewhere to buy a worthy Health insurance or stay 6 months a year in UK.

  11. Thanks Jacko45K for your reply. I have over a 1Mil on saving acc but not an other 800K. I have funds on my UK acc but I would not transfer anything to Thailand at this time with low rates. I wait until the pound goes more up. It may go further down if there is a no deal Brexit.

Well, I am not going to risk my ext and better just to leave it at savings acc. I will ask immigration if they would accept transfer of 800k to FD acc after I got the renewal.
