I think that's an old wives tale, same as putting a cold key down your back.
Holding breath usually works for me, and I am a social drinker.
Not a wives tale. This is what I do when I get the hiccups. It works but I get funny looks when I drink from the opposite side of the glass.

Yes, I know that Ram Hospital has it, at their Check-In Clinic for 6500 baht per shot. I am going there tomorrow for my shot.
I went to Chiang Mai Ram Health Center (not the hospital itself) this morning and got the Shingrix vaccine. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes, total cost 7112 Bt. Will get the second shot in March.

Does anyone know if this is avaliable in Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai? The last time I looked into getting a shingles vaccine in CM only SKYZoster was available.

I lived in Japan a number of years. Even a lot of the seafood served in Japan wasn't caught in Japanese waters.

I don't understand what this ranking was based on, but I don't believe it's anccurate. I lived in Japan for over 30 years and I think Thais speak far better English than the Japanese.

I got my Thai license about one year ago. The test is difficult. There is the issue of bad translation, but also many of the questions have nothing to do with driving. There are a number of question about various drugs and there effects.
I got my license by taking a course at Honda Safety Park in Chiang Mai. It's a driving school primairly for motorcycles, but they also have a couse for a car license. There several throughout Thailand. They have a large pool of test questions to help you prepare. I don't think I would've passed if I hadn't taken the course.

A good question as each Immigration Office has their own requirements. Chonburi (Pattaya) Immigration does not require you to attach photo to TM.7 - they do it for you (I usually get my photo next door just before going in to do my extension without attaching it). Further, they require only one photo for retirement extensions.
Phayao the same.

I think it depends on the person.
I had 2 Pfizers and a Moderna booster. I had mild soreness in my arm for a night after the Pfizers. After the Moderna, I literally felt nothing.
My gf got the Moderna booster. Her arm became quite sore for two days and she had a mild fever for a day.

I did my crown 10 years ago. All I can say it's completely normal. After the final crown was put I had tooth sensitivity for 2 months.
I had a permanent crown put in 1 week ago. Occasional sensitivity when I eat something hot or cold. I take it that's normal?

In Phayao for my last extension in June, immigration required a 12 month statement. Prior to that it was a 6 month statement.

Does anyone know where I can get German Lebkuchen cookies, either in Thailand or shipped to Thailand? Amazon has them, but won't ship them to Thailand.

I much prefer not working, can't understand people who miss working.
Yeah, I retired at 53 and was glad to walk away. My father worked until his early 60's at the same place for over 30 years. He said he loved it. I just don't get it.

The Americans I know rarely say "guarter to" or "quarter past". In that idiom, they are more likely to say "quarter before", "quarter of", or "quarter after".
The fact that you believe that mutual intelligibility between native speakers of different strains of English, and the "minor differences" therein, has any bearing on what is suitable to teach primary students in Thailand perhaps indicates that teaching is not your true vocation.
What may be a "minor difference" to you will definitely not be a minor difference to a 7 year old Thai who gets a few hours exposure to English a week at best in an overcrowded classroom with a monolingual teacher.
It could be regional. I'm American and I say quarter till and quarter past. I've never in my life said quarter of.

If you've been double vaxed, would you have a higher probability of a false positive?

"Thailand’s Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is urging unvaccinated people, who are waiting for Pfizer or Moderna vaccines booked with private hospitals, to cancel their bookings and get free jabs of Pfizer vaccine at state vaccination facilities."

But the private hospitals won't allow cancellations!
Where and when will the Pfizer vaccinations be available?
I live in the north and got my Pfizer shots in September.
