  1. It seems like after talking to various thai women here there seems to be some consensus among these women that thai men are just completely untrustworthy and undateable.  I dont know how accurate this generalization seems to be or perhaps is this just a red flag for that particular thai girl since it means she only wants to date Westerners for ulterior motives?  Whats your take on this?

  2. Is it just me or is it when it comes to having conversations with thai girls on dates, it feels very one-sided conversationally?  I notice from dating a couple thai girls that they seem to expect you to ask them more questions about them then they are more interested in asking about you.  And Its not like theyre not interested in me either because they still continue to see me and etc.

Is this a social norm in thailand ?

I'm just about to look into these prices as I'm pondering Fitness First or True Fitness. Think that's not a bad price. I've heard prices in the region of 2,700 for True but yet to go take a look. Maybe tomorrow.

It'd have to be fairly special for 2,700 pm. And without broken machines!!! Need convenient to Asok for me so it rules it places that might be cheaper but further out. The more hassle it is to get to the more likely I'll drum up an excuse not to bother.

I'll post what I get quoted tomorrow. The 1,700 admin fee seems ludicrous though!

They should do around 1500 baht/month for a year membership, friends got that rate in the past.

The racquet club (rqclub.com) is 21400 a year (1783/month) tell them if they can't beat that you're taking your business elsewhere.

Even better just join the racquet club instead, it's better, ideally don't Fitness First with their lack of transparent prices. Unless you're forced to by the location you live.

2200/month equals NYC prices. I'd haggle them down or pass.

Exception being if you're only looking to buy a 1-3 month membership. If your willing to sign for 6 months to a year they need to come down, somewhereto  around 1500/month

Yeah I tried to haggle down but they said that is now the standard fixed price for everyone

  5. I was quoted 2200 baht per month for one location membership with admin fee of 1700 and was wondering if anybody that goes there was quoted any less?  And if so would it be any possible to get them to lower it?  Is 2200 a fair price?

Well yes, but I didn't want to make the long trip all the way to the Embassy without having the right documentation because I fly out in less than 10 days.

Can anyone else help with these questions please?

    1.  Im sure every online bank has a monthly bank statement that you can print out that shows the balance of that month which should be enough proof.

2.It really depends on the embassy you apply in.  I was able to get a METV without employment verification in Chicago.  Some dont care about employment verification as long as you show bank statements of $7000 USD so its not really a question anybody can answer for you.  Its really a matter of talking to the front desk employees at the embassy you step in.
