It's not libel to state facts.
You are not stating facts. Both insurance company representatives, the police officer, and the driver of the truck, all agreed that the driver of the truck was 100% responsible. Why do want to defend a drunk driver so much? Have you actually come to my house and measured the distance between the back of my car and the road? No, of course not.

I agree many Thai drivers are poor, most think a rear vision mirror is for squeezing zits or applying makeup. They move away from traffic lights as if it is a competition to be the slowest.
Haven't had an accident here in ten years, the defensive driving course I did in Australia many moons ago has been invaluable, and put to the test frequently.
The back of my car was two meters away from the road. Please don't libel me. I know where I live, you don't.

I love living in Thailand, and I love Thai people, but I can say without prejudice that Thais are the worst drivers I have ever encountered. I have had my car for just one year and already three drivers have driven into my car, twice when my car was parked, like last night. In 25 years of driving in the USA I was only hit once. Let's do some math: that works out to be 75 times more likely to be in traffic accidents in Thailand than in the USA. Just my personal experience; your mileage may vary. And aren't security cameras great? I can't get enough of this video. Has anyone had similar experiences or am I cursed? I think this driver was thinking about running off but fortunately my neighbors across the street came out to confront him. Again, I love Thai people, but wow are they terrible drivers.

Nei ferguson didn't even compy with the lockdown rules himself...what a hypocrite #$$%#..good that he got sacked.
Yes, Neil Ferguson is such an evil hypocrite. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation gave Imperial College London where he works $79 million in March 2020. I hope him and his married mistress are enjoying the money. He certainly has played a major role in destroying the US economy.

You may well be right. A "hot" diet combined with a hot climate may make a big difference.

Anyone citing that raging eugenicist Bill Gates is a fool. Bill Gates dropped out of university. The polio vaccine Bill Gates pushed in India paralyzed 490,000 children. The tetanus vaccine Bill Gates pushed in Africa has sterilized millions of women.
The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation gave a $79 milliono grant to Imperial College London last month, March 2020. Neil Ferguson, the guy whose computer "model" predicted 2.2 MILLION covid19 deaths in the USA, just happens to work at Imperial College London. 2.2 million deaths, the number used to scare Americans into accepting house arrest and thereby destroy the US economy. Hmmm? I wonder what Neil Ferguson's share is?Show less

Why is the baht strengthening? Because the international banking cartel controlled by the Rothschild organized crime family has directed one of their subsidiaries, the US "Federal Reserve Bank" to debase the US dollar in an extreme way. How many new US dollars have been magically created? $6 trillion? $8 trillion? The US dollar can no longer be the world's reserve currency. For those holding US dollars, I see a period of hyperinflation.

The pedophile network protects itself. (And Jeffrey Epstein did not kill himself.)

My 2 year will expire soon. How long do I have from the expiry date do I have before I need to start the whole licensing process over?
I don't know if it has changed, but the Thai bureaucracy graciously gave me 1 year after my US driver's license expired to renew it without having to take the written and road tests.

"I looked around and one thing I noticed about the cars that were pulled over was that they were nice cars. No Civics or Camrys. Just higher end cars with respectable looking people."
I don't understand what you are saying. Civics and Camrys are very nice cars. Please tell me what you think is a "nice" car.

Thanks for yet more fearporn. The editors of Thaivisa are so good at spreading it.

To all the nasty retards that chronically post to Thai Visa: Why are you <deleted>ting on Thailand because the economy is projected to grow 2.7%? The USA economy is projected to grow 2.0% in 2020. https://www.thebalance.com/us-economic-outlook-3305669
The UK economy is projected to grow only 1.0% is 2020.
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/jan/02/uk-economy-stagnation-end-2019-survey-shows
Do you think this is because the UK has such a terrible educational system?

Why don't you ask a Thai Buddhist this question, rather than ignorant expats?
Realistic plan or a flawed fantasy?

Yes, you can. I moved to Thailand 4 years ago when I was 55 and have been teaching English for 4 years at a government primary school in central Thailand. I love it! I was a university professor for many years in the USA so teaching Thai children was a big adjustment. Thai children can be somewhat rowdy, but teaching them English has been great fun. Go for it!
