  1. I should have thought that the Malaysian Police would have more intelligence than to get involved with the "Keystone Cops" of Thailand.

The Malaysian Police carry a legacy from their days under the British and have a very efficient police force unlike the corrupt RTP. whistling.gif

I have had no need for brown envelopes in Thailand.

    Maybe I am lucky.

Sad to say i hv been ripped off countless times by their southern counterparts.

  2. I am and the Thai people are grateful to the police that they caught this guy early or it would have been worse as the police said there were enough to build 10 bombs. I feel disgusted by these farangs hungry for more innocent deaths by saying he is not the bomber when CCTV clearly show it is him including cell phone records.

    They don't deserve your disgust.

They are here because they couldn't make it back home.

    Social refugees that they are.

  3. It would appear Sa Kaeo immigration is a major gateway for illegal movements - the suspect arrested the other day alleged that he came in that way, resulting in six Immigration officers from Sa Kaeo have been transferred to inactive posts, now the alleged bomber was trying to get out that way...

I must say though, he looks taller and thinner than the yellow shirt guy...

Thailands most wanted man why is he not in handcuffs?

    My thoughts also...Why no handcuffs????

    Maybe ankle cuffs.

But even if unrestrained don't think he can outrun bullets.

  4. He turned down going to the Erawan shrine not for his own safety of course, but for the safety of his bodyguards and entourage. I therefore assume that his armored car is big enough for all of them too.

At face value of course, this would seem like the actions of a coward. So I guess he's a coward.

Why don't you show us the money.

Put an ad in tomorrow's Bangkok Post and offer to face him yourself man to man.

  5. Quite a lot of people here rather seem to be relishing the prospect of suspects/detainees in this affair being tortured.

Leaving aside the light this shines into the darker recesses of their personalities, beating the living daylights out of a person in interrogation usually results in them telling you what they think you would like to believe rather than what actually happened.

Of course, if the interrogators only want to hear what they already believe then it may be regarded as a successful process!

There's no need for physical torture.

    There are more expedient ways.

  6. 20 months ago, I got in trouble for starting a small fire near the river in northern Thailand. I was clearing a path by the river which could be used by nature hikers. I was apprehended by a villager and then cops showed up later. We went to the scene of the crime. My fire had gone out and there wasn't even any smoke or embers in its rug-sized area. Cops needed a photo, so they picked a nearby spot, put a bunch of stick together and made a bonfire as big as a car. When the flames were roaring, they got me and other cops to stand in front of it, for the photo. Go figure.

    20 months ago was wet.

Can't figure how you can start a fire from scratch.

  7. Just thinking outside the box. I've just blow the hell out of a public place killing and maiming a lot of people. CCTV catches my escape. I've had days to get the heck out of Dodge. Why I'm I still in my room with a bunch of materials that could be used for bomb making. Personally, especially considering the media was saying there was not a good CCTV coverage, I'd be in a different country, and back to whatever sick terror cell I came from. But no! The "Suspect" stays. Like one of the previous posters said. Wait and see.

    Frighin unbelievable.

  8. As you can see from my non-existent posts in the pass I never comment on anything unless I have anything to contribute (sensibly) But previous experience of watching hours of CCTV in Northern Ireland and Manchester for the Arndale shopping center Bombing. I would like to point out two things.

    • Firstly if you have seen the uncut version of the (CCTV) you will see that after he walks away the camera is jerked rapidly to the left and you can clearly see it is taken from a mobile device inside a room as the window and remote control for the air-con comes into view.
    • Secondly the "suspect" is quite clearly central to the image, and is the quite clearly followed by the Camera.
Drawing from previous experience and not a conspiracy theorist it looks remarkably like this individual was being "watched"

You are watching them reviewing multiple video feeds from different cameras.

The subject was not being monitored.
