Misses got fined 800bht for not reporting my stay, she was told in no uncertain terms that not reporting an alien is a no no. So when ever we leave and re-enter the kingdom, it's straight off to the IM at Chok Chai to do the report, no trouble with 90 day reporting.

We all learn by our mistakes, just get out there and do your thing, if it works great, if it don't just move along

What a load of bother, why can't you die in peace anymore??????

When I moved over here, told the misses you need to report me to the local immigration, mai bin lai she says. Went for 90 day report, oops, fined the usual 800 baht, I/o say you must report every time you go out of kingdom and return, even with a M/E visa, funny tho, I had 2 CoR before my 90 day report.

We live up country, but the misses is from Bangkok, she lets me dress as I like around the house but when we go out she has the last shout. If she is happy with what I'm wearing then I can't go far wrong, always pants and shirt for immigration days.
as for other people, up to you.

Just had this discussion with the misses, showing the sole of the foot when sitting is no problem, pointing with the foot, shoed or not is a big no no.

Many thx your quick replies, thought that was the case but better to ask and be sure, thanks again.

I am here on a long stay non Imm 'O-A' visa, I am confused after reading different reports on the forum. Do I have to do a border run every 90 days or do I just report to local Imm office.
Thx ur replies

Never had a letter just statements for 3 months, think you only need letter if you are splitting your money between savings and income. Could be wrong not wholly sure, but just had statements.

After some confusion with the helpful thai embassy, i had my documents notarised at a cost of £250. Not a small sum but better to be safe than sorry. Already had to travel to london and stay over, i didn't fancy doing it twice. Not sure in the price difference but its all done and dusted, O A visa got and im on my way in two weeks.

Just had mine done by richard meere, notaire in rugley, staffs. Had no problems at thai embassy. Look him up on the internet.

Ok. First im in the UK.
Secondly i take it that the notaire verifies that the copies are genuine copies?

First post long term looker.
I am applying for my first OA visa, but am confused, what exactly does the notary officer need to do, I have contacted one and he is unsure, he says he can certify copies of the originals but if I have the original, why would I need copies. Any and all replies will be welcome, even the nasty and stupid ones, I'm thick skinned and like a good joke.
Many thx

Yep Chiang mai mai is correct with the house building, mines built that way as are most new ones around here. Our builders were good but really messy, had to tell them more than once to clean the site, but hey everything worked out fine in the end.
